There is something wrong indeed. My bank account has been charged, PSN acknowledges I do indeed have a 100 Coins pack (
screenshot from my PS4), and it has been 60+ hours since my purchase. Still no coins in-game.
I received a response from CyberStep support....
We are apologize if your Onigiri Coins is taking longer than usual to arrive. However, please understand that it can take from twenty-four hours to a couple of days for Onigiri Coins transactions to be reflected on your account. This delay depends on the third-party payment method you used at the time of the order.
If you have not received your Onigiri Coins in more than a few days, we highly recommend you contact the third-party payment method to determine if any issues occurred during your order. If you have any other further questions, please feel free to reply to this message.
But this is unacceptable for many reasons.
First off, there is no reason it should take this long. I have NEVER encountered any game that takes days to give you something you pay for. Once the financial account has been charged (aka you have the money)... that's it. There's no more waiting for payment. You have no reason to further delay giving the Coins. If your system can quickly process taking money, I can promise you it can just as quickly process adding Coins to the game account.
Second, there really.... really... REALLY needs to be some kind of warning AHEAD OF TIME that such delays are possible. At no point during my experience in the game's cash shop was I ever told that it could take days before I receive the coins. Yes, consumers should be savvy enough to expect delays of a couple of minutes, but anything over an hour or days... it is definitely the responsibility of the vendor to inform the consumer of such possible delays. At the least, it is just plain and simple good business practice.
Third, it is incredibly shady of them to try to jump straight to avoiding responsibility here without even attempting to investigate the situation. "
we highly recommend you contact the third-party payment method to determine if any issues occurred during your order" EXCUSE ME?! Um.... no. All 3rd Parties involved have already fulfilled their end of the process. My bank account handed the money to Sony immediately after purchase, and Sony immediately applied the 100 Coins credit to my PSN account. The only party that is having any issues here is CyberStep.
So CyberStep... I highly... HIGHLY recommend you correct this quickly, and put a better system in place to prevent such issues and have a better policy in place to handle issues that do get through. Such as, putting forth ANY amount of effort in investigating before playing the blame game.
