Ive had enough of redownloading

Postby Winter de Solis » 13 Dec 2016, 07:23

I've been holding back a long time before exploding with this post since the first time I made a payment rant I was literally lambasted into depression. But with this intro out of the way I have to say i'm getting tired of reinstalling onigiri online every Tuesday.

Since I entered the work force in Taiwan, I already have eleven and a half hours off the clock 5 days a week. Also, now that we have the Christmas event running until the 20th for Lancelot, I am feeling the time pressure. Currently, I just have lizard scales to finish off for my last two sp gacha tickets but already my time is taken up for all of today due to the weekly update. I leave for work at 6:30 am (work starts 7:30) Taiwan time which is the time before the weekly server maintenance and I come back home at roughly 9:00 pm (work finishes every day at 8:00 pm) and just on that Tuesday we get SERVER MAINTENANCE. In other words, that's one day off, which sucks because I have a limited event I want to get the most out of.

The problem I am currently facing here is EVERY time I have to update, I need to REINSTALL the freaking client which takes like 1 to 2 hours. Why is that? When I click update it'll say, 'Update failed.' And I cannot update at all unless I completely reinstall. This has been bugging me since I played this game but I have endured it because back then I was studying abroad where I had more free time and the last time I made a critical thread, I was demonized and driven to the brink of insanity by trolls on the forums when I was not in any mood for internet pranks.

Can a game master please look into why I need to completely reinstall every Tuesday maintenance or can someone please point out what is wrong with my computer or system etc? Or if anyone has similar related issues you may share below.

Cheers

And thanks for reading.

Send a ticket. I've had very good responses both times I've submitted a ticket for something, however I have never seen a GM respond to something like this on the forum.

Also, note that there is maintenanace every Tuesday, starting at midnight PST. I only recall ever seeing one week where they announced there would be no maintenance that Tuesday.

That sounds like a pain having to reinstall it every week. Like wibb said, best way is probably to send a ticket with more info to CS. I do remember reading a problem that was solved by changing a file or something before reinstalling. I can't seem to find that topic tho...

Thankfully the forum looks more sanitised nowadays and recent posters here tend to be polite and helpful to the community.

Eyyy Winter, haven't seen you in forever. I experienced that issue once or twice on my computer, and it was due to low space on my local disk. Check yours and see if there's enough space.

Wow, that's a surprise. Thank you for the considerate responses everyone. I'll be trying out your advice since I'm still stuck with this problem.
