If you guys think it's hard then you need to go play an easier game. Our group will probably be the highest levels if this is who we have to contend with.

My point is that this game isn't even THAT hard and that everyone is a crybaby. God forbid a game has a bit of a challenge. There are CHALLENGING aspects of the game so far, that's it. Everyone is butthurt that they can't complete every single dungeon their first try.

Are you reading the same topic? People are trying to figure out why there is a 10x's difference between this version and Japan's and why an official statement is not being given. Although, it is the weekend so there should be more patience than currently being shown, but that's another matter.

As far as difficulty, this game isn't any more difficult than majority of action MMO's considering it really only boils down to pattern recognition, as do most games in concern to pve. That being said, the issue is, a game's content should appeal to both the casual and the hardcore players, which while this is a tough thing to balance, leaning too far either way isolates populations of people which in the end only stands to hurt the game.

After all...difficulty in a game should not come from grinding, but instead from game mechanics and AI behavior. Changing the exp rates will not affect the overall difficulty of the game if the mob's/dungeon's are balanced better. The first 20ish levels...while time consuming, are far too easy and 'hell' dungeons are for the most part a joke once you learn boss attack patterns and find one's with specific weaknesses to your weapon set. This to me has little to do with skill, but instead the game amounts to a long grind and far too easy content. I would rather see the grind cut back and dungeons made difficult enough you couldn't solo a hell dungeon 10+ levels lower than it.

Keep in mind too that levels are being wiped after CB and it makes no sense for their to be such a grind, when for testing purposes you want people reaching the upper echelon's...and the more the better.

I see a lot of sheep are posting about how the game is fine.
Good, you enjoy it =]
Went and played dark souls 2 and felt way better about wasting time on a poorly created game.
Not sure Why i even bothered getting to level 12.
Silly me.

I have skipped 6+ pages of what seems to be drama.

The game has a perfect balance. let me explain why. it's because the game itself is easy.

You can play through higher level content without much problem. You don't have to actually meet the recommended level to get easily through a dungeon.

However, stuff starts to fall in places when you need to upgrade your weapon. You're level X, and the weapons that drop for you are about 10-20 levels above yours. For when you can equip that weapon, you'll be in need fo something even better, thus repeating the loop. I'm still using the same wooden bow I started the game with.

In the end, you are always several levels under what's supossed to be your content current content.
Eventually, your level gap will fall so behind that you actually need to backtrack heavily, in order to grind an ammount of levels at least equal to your current level.

The game is easy enough to go with the current exp rate, but in order to make this an effective choice, everything else needs to be rebalanced; dungeons, monsters, level requirements ,drop tables, etc, since all of these details are balanced for a greater exp rate.

This means that even while the actual game is easy, it is meant to be even easier than it actually is.

I only need the drop table tbh, I've pretty much learnt to ignore the level requirement. The only thing that I'm not happy about is that I'm getting weapons too high from my level, and I can't even try the skills to see which is better to use as a base and make a +20 or +30 unlock.

If the expcurve was working as originally intended, these weapons would be dropping at your current level, because your current level would be higher at that point of the game.

Where X is the moment you first enter a dungeon.

Essentially, it's like all they did was lower exp rate and leave everything else one and the same.

That's literally all they did. Go try the JP version for yourself and see.

A little off topic but I noticed that this game is lacking a lot of the social features you usually see in an MMO. I mean, I guess you could just make a chatroom and call it your guild. But hey whatever.
