1: the costumes are achieved only with onigiri coin were placed in the test phase alpha
2: experience and weapon reduction was placed on purpose for an event that if you arrive in kyoto .. get awards in the open phase "The experience will not be the same in open beta"
3: that's your problem .. you have lag.
4: on weapons and the level is for the event ..
5: nobody is forcing you to play.

The game has a perfect balance. let me explain why. it's because the game itself is easy.

You can play through higher level content without much problem. You don't have to actually meet the recommended level to get easily through a dungeon.

However, stuff starts to fall in places when you need to upgrade your weapon. You're level X, and the weapons that drop for you are about 10-20 levels above yours. For when you can equip that weapon, you'll be in need fo something even better, thus repeating the loop. I'm still using the same wooden bow I started the game with.

In the end, you are always several levels under what's supossed to be your content current content.
Eventually, your level gap will fall so behind that you actually need to backtrack heavily, in order to grind an ammount of levels at least equal to your current level.

The game is easy enough to go with the current exp rate, but in order to make this an effective choice, everything else needs to be rebalanced; dungeons, monsters, level requirements ,drop tables, etc, since all of these details are balanced for a greater exp rate.

This means that even while the actual game is easy, it is meant to be even easier than it actually is.

This post pretty much sums up Onigiri in a nutshell. The game is easy and people want it to be much easier. xD

Overall, I do agree that the game is easy. I don't like the exp rate simply because I HATE grinding. I prefer more quests. Running the dungeons for hours on end, makes me not want to play anymore. I've tested hundreds of games trying to find what's hot in the gaming world, including the not so long ago released Scarlet Blade. I got to Caragate and quit. Why? Because there was a lack of quests with decent exp. If you expect players to level, they have to want to level. I understand the ending point right now is Kyoto. You can't move past it. Maybe they slowed the exp for that reason so players weren't rushing to Kyoto all at once. Although I JUST hit 13, Sakurajima is a level 18 dungeon MINIMUM. I can barely get through the main mobs and my wep is +30. You can completely forget me getting past the first boss though. I gave up after I failed the dungeon separate times. This is why quests and exp are so important. I got the quest to go to Sakurajima at, I believe, level 10. I spent 3 levels grinding and did maybe 4 quests in that time that awarded very little exp. Levels 11 through 13 have 0 quests or better ways to achieve exp. I like this game, but right now, I'm ready to walk away as I won't grind another 5 levels in the same dungeons just for my exp to keep dropping with each run. It's ridiculous.

On the note of the devs and mods not giving updates, that is poor service right there. There should be some sort of update/check in from someone at least once a day or every other day. Answer a thread, give us players something to go on. I know right now we're all wondering if beta ends today or next week. They need to get their act together or I can see not only the game, but the entire company going under rather quickly.

Surprisingly enough, their downright terrible public relation and customer service hasn't caused their complete collapse even though it should of long, long, long, long ago. Plenty of Cosmic Break players can confidently say that CyberStep basically downright ignores their playerbase for almost anything not involving direct monetary trade with them and for this reason Cosmic Break has lost what I say to be 3/4's of their entire playerbase despite being able to hold the most devoted niche playerbase due to it's unique status if only CyberStep wasn't the company it is. When Cosmic Break first fully released it probably had a couple hundred if not nearly full channels every day and now on en the most populated server besides jp (I think) there's barely 100 people per day spread across all 3 channels. Even if the population would have decayed over time, it can be mostly attributed to CyberStep to have lost as much playerbase as they have since many Cosmic Break players were extremely devoted and just couldn't take CyberStep's management anymore and just left.

tl:dr Cosmic Break died because of CyberStep management, expect something similar to happen to Onigiri.

That's absolutely terrible. Maybe they should think about hiring new employees. Ones who actually care about their players and the game. If it wasn't for the players, people who run the game wouldn't have their job. That would be like us running a register at a store and completely ignoring the customer. I don't think they would appreciate it if they were the customer and we ignored them. One of these days the players will have enough and leave.

I personally like the game, but I do not like the lack of professionalism from the staff. I'm beginning to wonder if it's even worth sticking around and finishing closed beta. I'm not going to run around mindlessly grinding in dungeons for the next five levels just to be able to complete a very overpowered dungeon. It's not worth the effort. I'm not the type to party up. So I will need some sort of incentives to stay.
