Am i doing something wrong? [Wand related]

Well, i'm a wand user and i've tried everything to have a decent dmg now... and it's not working.

Before 25 i had like 3 ice element magatamas and ice pillar IV, that only used to do 300-500 dmg...

Now i'm 26, i have a +50 25 weapon, +200 attack magatama and nearly all of my single target skills are on higher level.

My fireball damage didn't change compared to my lvl 16 wand at all, and with 1200 attack and a lvl 20 single target skill, i do enourmous... 900 dmg? really? :c

I'd love suggestions or help... or atleast if someone know if they're going to do something... if not i'll need to change class or else.

The thing is the POW and DEX are over powered if we talk about the DMG. Magic users will always suffer, wands have shitty auto attack, skills takes tons of sp and doesn't even do solid dmg.
With POW or DEX you can just go yolo put all in one, equip random sword, upgrade it a bit and there you go 3k dmg.

I was testing a mage in CBT to see if it gets strong later, since in the beginning they are really weak. Now that I see that even a level 26 mage is suffering with low damage, I guess I don't need to test anymore.

Of course, Cyberstep will probably balance it later, but I would only create a mage if they fix many, many things about wands, such as:

-Very boring and slow basic attack;
-Low damage;
-Very high SP cost
-Increase number of spells (at least in the early wands, since everything is about Fireball, Kamaitachi, Evade Warp and White Breath)

Not very exciting to be a mage if an archer can do much more with much less effort..

Ya obviously didnt read that he does like 900 dmg to single targets with the normal wand attack combo, but only very low damage with the fireball spell, which means he wonders why his spells that cost SP do less damage than his normal ranged wand attack combo.
Thats how I did understand it.

I've noticed the same. I believe damage is capped on low level skills or something. I have a +40 level 25 staff and it has Breath of Light I on it. The skill does around 200 damage which is similar to my auto attack with the weapon and weak weapons with the skill don't do much worse. However when I use the III or IV skill on that same weapon I hit up to 1200+. You might need to level up skills to get the full power of your weapon which can be done with Momo or when smelting choosing the skill level up option (Which is so expensive).

Try to find Holy Pillar 3-4, it's like Stave's trump card.

I know that feeling. So let me share what I did to my char.

As you can see I decided to use 4 Mushiro Magatama and Ornament them with hawkeyes for additional defense. I also got lucky during these process and got bonus attacks. BTW my char is not pure because I added some vit at earlier Lv. So if I went pure wis I might have more damage and sp(I think pure is the best choice in this game) Also in this image my title got replace since I'm still experimenting. So If I didn't change my title I would have 1.4k HP. Now the question, how much damage I can make against mobs? Pretty good ^_^ Right now against bosses (normal) in Yamuko of Kyoto I can hit them 2-3k with ice bolt or ice shoot and 5-7k if critical. My normal is 200-300 and 500-700 if crit.
How will I rate my char compare to other class? Still it can't par against them. Those class just have way too much damage and speed. And they can spam alot of skills without having to drink any MP pots during battle. However I'm still satisfied with the current status of my char Way better than before.
