I was thinking of just soloing through the game but i dont know how long i can do that. does anyone know the limit to a solo player?

Kiku is right we can solo up until kyoto... Sekigahara I don't know

It is possible to solo, but it takes ages to run through dungeons on hell. Eg. +15mins

Sekigahara is soloable trust me. I think in some scenarios parties are a lot more difficult. In my experience I find being in a party is more challenging than soloing.

A lot of the dungeon can be solo easily, with the exception of certain map in hell mode, especially with boss that spam skills that always follow you around.
