Though rather than level and equipment grades
Better to set level and flat attack restrictions according to dungeon level and difficulty modes
It would act both as a guideline and a way to force people to work their way up
As a side effect people will need to level up alot before being able to do main quests though
But that still won't filter out all the lazies
I like the idea though
So I'm required to be on this "safety net" before I can explore and devise a plan on any dungeon beyond my level?

Rest assured, it's only still suggestion. I highly doubt C$ would implement this kind of system.
So please enjoy and abuse this system tremendeously.

The thrill of the first dungeon you came in is gone in this game, exchanged by the 'carrier' and 'leecher' system. It works at least.
When people reach high level, they might more prone to spending real cash to buy equips/costumes/ougis. So it's all win for players and developers/publishers (C$).

After all, the problem is that the game can't differentiate between the leecher and the support since its only judgement criteria is "did the guy kill the mob or not?" There's only 2 real ways to solve that, one of them being that you put a label on each character so the game can tell what they are and the other would be to add another criteria to judge (rather abusable for the most part unless the criteria is extremely strict and thus runs the risk of people falling under the criteria when they should be qualified due to various reasons).

Are you asking to be flamed?
We're talking about ways to restrict leechers
Not whatever stat bonus
Jesus

Except the stat boosts are pretty much only there for the other weapons or else we'd end up creating a whole new system for staffs only. I stated in my other post that staves get boosts like lucky box drops from things they didn't kill and more while they're in certain zones based on which title they're using.

If you really don't want stat boosts for other weapons, just have them set the boosts to near negligible rates. Like who's going to notice an extra 100 attack at level 50 or something like that? Nothing said the boosts have to be big since we're trying to make a system that's "equal" for everyone. But the funny part is, when you throw in something that is intangible, you can list the tangibles as whatever because it's impossible to say for sure how tangible and intangible objects compare.

Like, who's going to be able to say that 5 pierce element is more than or less than the staff bonuses? You wanna say the pierce element is better? Well staffs get exp boosts. You wanna say the pierce element is worse? Well that pierce element does boost your damage (although minutely) and staves don't get combat boosts.

tl;dr: Boosts don't have to be high... Never said they had to be. They're just there so the other weapons don't feel left out. Heck, give them like 50 attack for the 80 pwr title or even give them 300 p.defense and call it a day.

Look
Secondary whatever
All it would do is increase damage for other weapons
And staffs get a permanent premium boost

Unless I'm mistaken, that is what you want
Well theres another way
As far as I know, there are 7% exp magatamas
I haven't progressed to see if theres better
But there
As for lucky boxes
Farm them while carrying
While I don't know how good holy pillar is
Rolling thunder isn't bad
There are a couple of single target skills
And another short ranged aoe I forgot

Use them xp magatama
You don't need skill force or affinity as much as offensive weapons
You have more freedom to pick utility magatamas
Unless you hybrid wand

But leechers can use them too you say
Well yes they can
And I say
Can you please just avoid partying with leechers
There are plenty of people who enjoy doing a share of the work
Pretty sure you are capable enough of finding them

mercury mags for 1 have a rather high level requirement to use, not to mention the fact that it's only an additional 28% exp even if you use all 4 (disregarding their chika cost which can't be low since they're high end defensive mags).

And for the most part, CS should be fixing problems in design like this stuff anyways :U. Unless for some reason people think that it's perfectly normal for someone doing work to be getting the same reward as those who don't, in which case I think you might need to get your head checked out. Oh and yeah I enjoy doing my share of the work, but I don't enjoy not getting anything out of it. In fact, who does? It's like volunteering except you're not helping needy people... Kinda like cutting your neighbor's grass for fun because you feel like it.

Make me a system that a machine can recognize people that do legit work and reward them for it, and not have people abuse the system. If not then keep your trap shut cause your arrogance is getting quite annoying.

._. that's what I was saying about the secondary title system. You have people who fulfill certain requirements effectively label themselves. IE: having 70 MND means you can get a secondary title of decent support or w/e and get boosts like "get lucky box drops and full exp for things your party killed for everything in Zone X". I mean there's still the off chance that people stack MND and then sit around but that would be easily fixed with a kick option for parties or maybe have the title only work when people you supported within the past X seconds kill stuff. Sure there's still the off chance that someone may find a way to abuse it by spamming heals on the carry but at that point it's more work trying to abuse the system than it is to support legitly.

Ya about that whole same work thing
Also, get yourself checked instead, ass

It's a different story if you pick a melee weapon thats not spear
Because range is god
Aoe is god

First of all you have range
Second your self sustaining abilities increase with level, meaning decreased usage of sp recovery items
Third you don't need great damage
Fourth you don't get aggro

Your pants-wetting issue being xp

Being a last hit system even the damagers will get varying amounts of xp
Naturally the strongest will get the most
And say everyone put in equal effort
Doesn't this sound a little familiar?

You see we have our own problems
Oh, shit did I surprise you there?
You must be shocked seeing as for the past week
Your eyes were buried in your ass
Posting about all you saw in there

Wanna know the biggest difference between staffs and every other weapon?
Investment
Investment
Three times the charm, get it please it's investment

We need to get the right skills, we also need the best weapon grade, we need the right kind of magatamas
It's pretty hard getting far with just in-game currency
You either need a truckload of luck and the balls to climb a mountain
Or the balls to crawl up mountains and swim in volcanos

Hey this sounds pretty tiring though
Why not leech? Fuck yeah! It'll work out when I'm high level enough!

I lost track of myself for a while there
So tell me what your problem was again hermywhatever?

So, when did staffs become a ranged weapon again? Last I checked, the only 2 weapons in the game that aren't melee are bows and wand (if you're counting the fact that staves have ranged spells, it's not like axes, oodachis and katanas don't have ranged spells either).

And for your "range is god, AoE is god", both are things staffs suck at so what's your point there (because chase blister and holy light totally don't lock your character down for the next 2 seconds with their cast times)?

Supports don't get aggro eh? About those stray mobs that drop aggro on the speeding carry... I sure hope their AI isn't programmed to target the nearest enemy target because that could get ugly really fast. Oh wait, they are. Hmm simple math question for you then: 1 distant carry + 1 support chasing after the carry to keep them in vision + 1 angry stray mob = ? It totally doesn't equal an angry stray mob aggroing the support. Oh yeah, never mind it does. I would know, the past few days in Grotto has had me dying to random mini ants that drop aggro halfway through the burrow before aggroing me.

And supports don't need a good weapon or investment to be good at? I mean I totally found that grade 100 +70 ami-staff thingy with cure 7, invig 5, rapid storm and extended heal on the ground right? They totally just grow on trees cuz wood.

Oh and I just realized, all of your posts have been a "deal with it" because reasons. Fixing something that isn't working right? Nah, I think it's simpler to have people deal with it.

Wows I was totes implying use range to attacks
Your wiseness knows no end
I totes didn't mean to heal from afars rights mhm
Wait
I did mean that
Heal from as far away as you can please
Better yet drop your staff and reset please

Stray mob?
Let the person luring make a circle back to you?
Make a plan?
Dodge them?
Leave them to the other party members?
Better yet drop your staff and reset please

It's almost like you're trying to make things seem harder than they are
-wonders why-
It must be because you are doing exactly that

Let me, let you imagine the worlds smallest violin
I shed a tear
It was the most beautiful piece

Your screeching is on a whole other league though and I can see now
You play supporter just for the rights to pee wherever you please
You just love to recycle the crap you fling by picking it up and smearing it here and there

Hey person, I don't mean to be mean
I just find it really funny
You obviously don't even have a supporting mindset

And by the way
I was lying before
I do mean to be mean
I hope you suck on every insult I slipped in
Because it's the only reason I try to make sense
Be grateful and enjoy it hoebag
