See, but Dark Souls is easy.

I see a lot of people defending this by saying it makes the game "harder". They seem to be confused and think that "hard" means "tedious".

Its tedious if you actually go grind out lvls but its hard if you just go with whatever your current lvl is

it's not actual difficulty, it's them playing a numbers game against you.

So you're agreeing with us that it's tedious. Gaining levels is unnecessarily tedious.

It's also completely unnecesarily. The only point where you actually need to grind is when your level is about half of the dungeon's required level.

...which is a complete sign of imbalance.

Just wanna put in my two cents. I like the game, really I do. But when they made me go do a level 18 dungeon at level 10 (Tiamat/Momotarou) I found it to be way too challenging. I'm doing more of a tanky build. With lots of HP. But with an eight level difference, that doesn't matter. When I went in with a party of three (a level 8, a level 12, and myself at level 10) the monsters went up to level 21. We couldn't even kill Tiamat.

Say what you will about skill and whatnot. But when I get one-shotted by a fireball that didn't give me much room to avoid, I get a little discouraged.

Also, using your fists as an oni sounds amazing. Why hasn't anyone caught onto that?

It's tedious whether you grind or not considering how long it can take to finish dungeons and take down enemies twice your level.
