I have been wondering about this as well.
The only game so far that I have found a fairly large RP group was "The Secret World". This game? Not so much.
We can't even do basic "Actions" like greet, or walk, we can only sit... I'd understand if it was a game like Ragnarok which is Sprite based but this is models you would think it'd be easier.

Well Roxxie If you want to RP look me up. I'd put my Character name here but I'm afraid I'd get random messages. Unless one makes a RPer's List ie a list of active role players in the game, I won't post up my character name.

It's possible, since my experience with RP in other MMOs (Not ERP, you bloody perverts.)

..But it would be difficult to find people to attend.

Or done any side quests at all...

So question if we do RP what Roles are you gonna play? I like weaving my RP along side with the game's story BUT almost every mmo makes it sound like YOUR they only one who can do anything So it's hard to incorporate the RP into it when every one refers to one person.

I have posted this in a suggestion tread but will our relation ship with NPCS change? Since they have "Ranks" that relate to how they feel about you does it mean we can go the "friendship route" or the "lovers" route.
One of the things I loved about Persona 4 was that you can choose which relationship you want with the Character.
And I do believe that some other MMO has a system like this, I think age of wushu has it so every NPC you see have their own "like/dislike" stats with you. Didn't get far in that game since I had no idea what most NPCs were saying... and I did read the instructions...
Back to Onigiri, If there is a "lovers route" does that mean we can only have one? or can they all be at that "rank"?
Because that can be used for RP.

Also the thing with RP is that this game doesn't have much to RP about. Other than the Hubs/Towns there are not places that we can "RP" in. Buildings, events (just static even locations like a town that has a festival going on), etc. IF we RP that we wanted to go for a drink there is no place to RP that relates to that.
We can just do texts but one of the fun things to do in a "3D" mmo is RPing with the character and not just words. Else why don't we just RP in the forums?

Another thing to note is that towns are LOCKED until you get at that point. So one has to progress that far to even RP in that area. Another thing that can limit RPing in game.
