Gods Thesis wrote:I am not sure about everyone else. but I think there is a lack of an official leader-board, and a lack of competition, because there is nothing to compete for. :D

And if people are competing for something, it would mostly be personal achievement or personal achievement. ^^

Though competing for levels... is not really fair for people who do not play as much. It does not really prove for an equal ground of competition in this game. Because In some cases it is literally... who played more.

I hope this thread does not promote carrying as a good thing..., because through my experience of parties have become...an undesirable place for me to join :x
I am sure it is not a coincidence that some people on your list seemed to me ask toxic players :p because a competition for levels...

literally values the quantity of experience points, not the quality of the game-play. So to be at the top... I would have to invest more levels or boosts... and time... and pretty much tell my party "don't attack the mobs, my exp is more important than yours"

Those are some of the types of players on your list that I have met :p

Well its gotten to a point where the majority of the community has a messed up idea of partying (mainly applies at secluded forest). The whole leech/carry system is not completely bad, as it is useful at times but the issue here is what players have come to expect. Here's a few examples of my experiences.

Example 1
Entered a dungeon with players around my level. Half way through, a player goes, OMG I'm leaving. You guys kill too many and take all the experience, I should be the carry.

Example 2
Entered a dungeon with other party members being about 2-5 levels lower then me. They just stare at you and say, OK, you are the highest level in here, go carry and you have four people just standing idle there.

Example 3
Went in with a party that has a member or members of higher levels. When I kill off some mobs, they say.... HEY! FOLLOW ONLY.

While I do leech when I want to do some work/watch shows/get bored of grinding or when I was significantly underlevel/undergeared for the grind and carry 4 leechers when I want to maximize a xp boost, I specify on the party title, that way people who join know what they're getting into, I have no problems with parties that specify leeching/carrying. What I do find an issue is when people just join a party(nothing specified) and just automatically conform to the leech/carry system (I myself have been guilty of this before but then again, shows how this mindset had been rooted in the community).

Unfortunately, that's how it is at the moment because people have just gotten used to it. With the stronger mobs in the JP server, normally you have at lesat two people doing the work.

That is, Person A lures, person B runs in behind person A when the mob is basically formed, and they won't take aggro.

They both nuke.

Sometimes, this will not even destroy an entire mob.

The problem is that monsters are too weak, and players are easily able to get away with one shotting everything without a problem. There's also an issue where some players are stronger than the content, as there is a cap on how far we can go (until the 29th).

I agree with the other points and how they shouldn't be common behavior, but I do want to point out this one. In my case, I only tell people to stop doing anything if one of the following occurs/is occuring:

A) You take the aggro then run around like a chicken with its head cut off and therefore make it shoot projectiles in 360 degrees AND GET ME KILLED TWO OR THREE TIMES. I don't care if it happens once or if you can kill the mob before this happens.

B) I'm the "carry" for a leech party. The goal of this system is to obtain as many runs as possible in the allocated time, and therefore increase the xp gain to be efficient enough that it's more worth it for the "leechers" to still still and do nothing instead of try to clear in their own party.

C) You are intentionally trying to bait the mobs to kill me. I'M LOOKING AT YOU, RHYTHM.

I don't get the whole point of being in a party and one person doing everything and being carried, that's just dumb as you won't be fully prepared for the next area if someone has to carry you though the dungeons. This is why I solo. XD

It would be nice if you also listed the build or their main weapon type so everyone can get an idea of how they reached that level.

Yea it gets annoying when theres flying toilet paper everywhere spamming projectiles. I had to leave a party once because no one would listen n kept running around aimlessly. Another thing thats funny is the abundance of poser staff users outside Secluded. Its so troll when they say OK carry us! We'll will invig/speed buff you! then join your party. When they get in the buffs always fail..... kinda annoying when you actually expect lol.

I join parties with the intention of pulling my own weight. What others do is none of my business. If you want leechers, say so next time. If you want to leech, fine. You get the reward you work for
