Later dungeons everything can 1shot or 2 shot you, defense don't help much.

Both can make it to the end content, however you will most likely have an easier time with bow as it's ranged where as twin blades will require more effort due to the range of the blades and the danger of being killed.

Play what you prefer, it's a game have fun with it.

I'm currently level 47, cleared Kaga using both Twin Swords and Bows depending on mob.

Personally I've found bows are usually better for clearing dungeons due to their range, while twin blades are better for *most* bosses due to their high damage, not only is it easy to nuke bosses before they can do a lot of damage, but a lot of bosses (Odin being a prime example) are designed to punish ranged, while melee can get under their attacks very easily

i think it's more about what you like to use.

for me it's bow since i'm mostly soloing dungeons it really helps because i can attack from a safe distance without much danger of being attacked by various mobs at the same time

Well I just got a few drops of Pineapple at Kishinden randomly and I heard they were pretty rare so I might as well go bow, I enjoy both
