Nowhere as far as I know. Plenty of rumors that they exist in Yomotsuhirasaka or Sekigahara, which I doubt are true at all.

Try Izumo, in particular Ooikazuchi Cavern and Oonaobi Shrine.

I currently hold these amount of spears which are all lvl 40ish



But it still says require 7.
May I know what I am doing wrong / Would there be a better spear title I should work for instead?

It's referring to enhancement levels and not level requirement.

There's also a big caveat to this. Even with +40 level spears, you will need to unequip and re-equip the spear (updating the server database) in order to get Amaterasu to register that your spears are actually +40 (after enhancing them at Yoshitsune). It also refers to +40 inclusive, meaning that you do not have to smelt to unlock level 50 and then get a single level for 41.

is there any alternates to Daiku Cave for the marbles?

it just has so few enemies it doesn't seem worth it to do it over and over.

do any other dungeons in the area with a higher enemy count drop the marbles?

Probably, yes. But only Daiku Cave has been confirmed to drop them, and there aren't many people willing to try other places.
