Also, the group is looking for some interesting ideas to play around with, for example, suggest that they do tag team boss runs where each player can only hit the boss once and must wait for another player to hit the boss before they are allowed to attack again.
Because, although a weapon limitation is nice and all, it still is the same repetitive gameplay if you don't introduce new gimmick play-styles for them to "get rekt" with.
For that matter, another suggestion is "skill drain". In this mode, each player may use their skills on their weapons (all 3) only once (they may do this with all their weapons, skill duplicates on separate weapons may/may not be allowed) once they run out of skills, they will be forced to auto attack using a weapon of choice, or some sorta default/oni dagger.
Anyhow, blast away your suggestion guys and show some creativity where one normally would not find any~
