The only problem that I have with the support class is that we help a crap ton but still lack in the EXP gained due to not (last hitting) while grinding.

I'm not sure how this could be resolved but it's definitely depressing. I like to feel useful but supports are barely given the credit they deserve. I dont know how many times I saved a carry by healing them for half their HP just before they almost receive a deathly blow. I feel used and I'm cry.

Supports use just as much durability as the carry (especially if more HP heals are needed), we also hold the risk of being one shot by a single hit due to our low HP, so why can't we get more out of it as well? I think they should even out the exp gains or something.

When I have strong enough staffs/wands, plan to run solo Hell, Shinoda Forest

you don't need a powerful staff/wand ._. I still use a bloody level 5 oak staff with rank 4 holy Pillar/holy Light - so >.<

:o

Well, still can use it.. but.. the damage will be more efficient/SP if I use the higher level staff.

Anyway, thanks for the help before. Greatly appreciated ;). I'll be facing Hades soon after smelting these wands/staffs :( :o :D

OK well as sick of me and my crazy talk we all may be I simply must ramble on a little bit more. I'll keep it short this time I promise so don't you worry about having to read one of my tragically long posts.

First: Healers/support plays, STOP PLAYING THE VICTIM! When you think about it we actually have it pretty good because we actually get to do something to earn the exp we get even while we're being carried and we get less exp because we kill less and sorry sweetheart but that's just how it it. We don't deserve the exp the people carrying us get and unlike other leechers we can honestly say that we helped the party clear faster and easier.

Second: This is another issue near and dear to my heart but STOP thinking of supports as "just another leecher" I read someone say that healers really aren't necessary and were just another leecher and while we may not be "necessary" I think we can all agree that good support is really helpful. Yes, people can dodge. Yes people can eat and drink foods and pots to do the same thing we do. Yes, we generally aren't dealing vast amounts of damage but good support can really go a long way. Support shouldn't see themselves as a disadvantaged class that benevolently graces their party with their presence because they are helpless without us and our support skills. In truth we don't have many high damage staff skills because the game is putting its hand on our shoulder and saying: "Friend, you have no damage because you're not meant to, and your support skills are in the game because they are HELPFUL to your self and others."

I won't say that people can't possibly clear quickly without support or that support can't do damage, both of these ideas are false. Healers may not be necessary but how often have people said "Wow, if only we didn't have that supporter's speed buff, health, and magic regen, boy would that have been easier!" Likewise no healer should complain about getting less because like it or not exp is given for killing and little else so if you want to be getting more exp maybe support isn't your thing because from my view support is a lot of fun, reasonably easy, and useful to their party.

Sorry I broke my promise that I would keep it short this time I humbling apologize. Really I do by this point I've wasted a few minutes of your time and much more of my own so believe me, I'm really sorry I can't keep my mouth shut.

Nah, your responses are rather interesting to say the least. But as I've said before, I have no complaints that the carry is earning more EXP, it's just that a good portion of the time even leechers earn more than you from picking off stray mobs. I can understand the carry getting more exp because they're doing at least 80 percent of the work but when the people who do none of the work get more exp that's when things get more sketchy. And for the second point, I have yet to see a party treat a support as a leecher but in the game's eyes, the support is just another leecher. You're doing more work than 3/5th of the party but for some reason you're rewarded the same as that 3/5th. At that point it's more of getting used more than playing the victim.

Of course, that was why I suggested that we should have a secondary title system. It would end up letting the supports actually feel useful (which currently is very questionable) and heck it might even make it so more people can carry. There's no real way for the game to differentiate a leecher and support without some sort of difference (at least a difference that isn't massively abusable). Actually, now that I think of it, there's another way where the party leader could choose who's the leechers and who's the supports but that would just be filled with corruption to say to least.
