I don't really ever use my partners..very very close to never because with that mindlessly swinging at nothing bug, they're practically useless other than the services they provide.

joke aside: the floating issue is constantly there with the small girl modell and my guess is the small boy modell will also be floating the whole time. seems like a lazy-scaling issue to me

Useless you say, I agree with this except there are nice tricks when you're severely underlvled.
Might as well put it here.
If you have a partner out and use something like charged shot, sometimes the enemy can't see you so the partner goes and attack (enemies don't attack partners). Good for dealing dmg while afk. It takes time though...
This is somewhat similar to the way I beat Ahriman the first time -.-".
I died and had Yoshitsune out, usually they stop attacking but it glitched or something so I just guessed, "hmm must be on low health now"-> revive->rapid shot->quest cleared. Wasn't sure what would happen if Yoshitsune killed it.
