I just used gacha for the first time (x4) and got two ougi skill cards III, one skill card set I (and one crafter's amulet 30% -.-). I'm thinking of using an ougi on the bow golden eye and the skill card set I on the twin blades, Cypher, for steal attack. I don't want to waste them (thus the question) so I'm wondering if there are much better weps coming up. I haven't really been id'ing much either because I'm currently lvl 68 and at Sado Mines and so want to lvl Shizu before I reach the lvl at which I'll be able to use the weps.
-guess I have another question: Is it possible to lvl Shizu anymore after Kaga?

So...
golden eye and Cypher any good?
or better weapons coming?

Tiger Moth > Golden Eye, and Cypher is good. In my opinion, it's better to put the Ougi on the Cyphers rather than the Golden Eye, as Water Cannon is rather underwhelming this content cap. I don't know how Water Cannon VII compares, but Thunder Beast is really strong against the dungeons right now. Of course, I would suggest to hold on to your Ougi until you reach the level required to equip the weapons in case later towns are unlocked in the meantime.

(Water Cannon = Dark Cannon, I refuse to believe the translation is correct since the original name is ウオーターキャノン)

As a daring sword/oodachi user is there a limit to how much dex I should put in (already have maxed affinity for all 3 pow weaps).

If you're looking for purely damage, then Dex (and subsequently Wis) will do the most for you. I know of Sword users that have added Vit to sustain casting Thunder Beast riskily, though. Mnd is more of a branching into staves thing.

Is there any information/research on the degree of effect that DEX has on critical force? In other words, comparing a character with no added dex and a character with maxed dex, how big of a difference would their critical hit modifiers be?

Also, is it just me, or does it seem like Pow (the stat itself) seem to be very mediocre at raising your actual dps (compared to wis and dex). It gives a small amount of attack speed every 30 points, but that's about it (that's relevant to damage anyways).

No, there is no research, however people have reported their critical damage increasing a significant amount from (a value wasn't specified, but it should be relatively small multiplier) to about 2 times damage.

Pow doesn't give that much attack speed, apparently the information I got off the JP Wiki was correct here. I compared attack speeds of a character with ~30 Pow to one with ~120 Pow, and the difference in attack speed was only a few frames, and if I remember correctly, when completing 7 normal attack sequences with +0 Oni Daggers, the 120 Pow character finished around 30 milliseconds faster than the 30 Pow character. I believe I have said otherwise on the forums before, I was wrong.
