Mistranslations and Typos

[Otonashi]

Since it seems the forums are getting some moderation, and I figured that since bugs within the game mechanics itself would be hard to fix (and not cause a ton of other bugs to pop up), collating things like mistranslations and typos that can be fixed easily would be useful, as the developers (who are busy at the moment, I believe) don't need to step in to fix them.

Don't have screenshots and can't get them at the moment, but off the top of my head,

[Status Page] There should not be a double minus sign for negative element values.
[Magatama Naming]Fuuri Magatama is typo'd as Fuuri Magatam
[Youkai Naming]The naming of Youkai is inconsistent, as seen here.
[Smelting]Skill Evolution V affects only skills up to rank IV, instead of VI like the description suggests. Skills cannot be evolved to rank 6 and above, is what the japanese text states.
[Skill Description]The description of Dust Storm Blast is "Creates a - VIolent sandstorm to scour foes"
[Weapon Description]The descriptions of Kogarasumaruand other weapons contain random typos.

[Bow Ougi] Water Cannon has been mistranslated as Dark Cannon

[Dueling] Gedoumaru III is typo'd as Gedoumary III

[Magatama Naming]The Odachi Skill Force Magatama are half in English (Dusk Magatama) and half in Roumaji (Yoake Magatama = Dawn Magatama)
—Apparently this was intentional due to overlapping equivalents (e.g 夜明の勾玉, 早暁の勾玉, 曙の勾玉.) You are right about 薄明の勾玉 (Dusk Magatama) being out of line with the others though. ~Wedge

[NPC Dialogue] The Hiderigami Brother at the end of Suzaku Mansion says "Yep!" and "That's right!" on different occasions. He should reply the same way both times (I believe, as I think he simply replies 「はい」in Japanese. No confirmatiofrom JP version though)

Thanks for replying. Are you sure about the Hiderigami? I'm fairly certain that one of the two of them agrees with a different line depending on whether you're talking to them regarding your main quest or a sub quest provided by the sister of the farmer in Kumaso Village.

I can't speak for the developers, but this kind of thing isn't uncommon with translations (especially localisations). English and Japanese are very different languages, so while the same response (「はい」) might be appropriate in a Japanese conversation, an English conversation may call for a different response each time ("Yep!" and "That's right!").

I suppose that is true, I can't remember the context in which each was used. I'll take that into account before speaking next time.

This is what a negative element value looks like in the status screen. There shouldn't be two minus signs, correct?

I noticed that one particular monster's name is different from the one that a certain quest called [The Traveling Youkai Pharmacy] that needs a monster drop from.

Child Mukade was specified to get the item he needs, but the monster in-game that resembles the monster is called Baby Mukade.

Also, Infernal Mukade is typo'd as Infernal Mukad on the list, Hashihime is written as Hashihime on her bestiary page but Hashi-hime on the list.

Typos like these often tends to be confusing to new players like me, which is used to doing quests having specific information then tends to find that the monster's name I'm hunting for has a different name in the game...

Would be after a few hours of searching i would then realize this. lol
