ERR_01002 (Incorrect client version) = SOLVED* by Yomacchi

I hope tht I'm not the only 1 havin this error, cuz all 3 of my of my pc is havin this problem.
Plus all 3 of my pc didn't fail to download update.
It's really torturing for me not being able to login for 2days...Not as torturing as not being able to surf internet :cry:

One of my friends has the same error as you.

Solution:
1) Take out the pkg folder from Onigiri_US folder and move it to a location (eg. desktop) where you will not accidentally delete it.
2) Uninstall Onigiri
3) Delete whatever left of Onigiri inside Cyberstep folder.
4) Download the client only, not the full installer.
5) Install the client which you just download.
6) Copy and paste back the pkg folder which you previously take out from the Onigiri_US folder before uninstalling.
7) Run the client and Viola! it works.

Sidenote: Do not try to use old installer which you download before, or else you might have to redo the steps I told you.

Welp, already try every method(even with old/new client).
It's still the same...(My holiday is ruined) :cry:
My only hope is to wait for these GM's to finish their holiday... :?

This worked for me...
EDIT: Unless you're willing for a 15+ hour process that may or may not work for everyone, don't try these following steps... ><
Added more steps that might help make this work better, though I didn't have to do them to make mine work.


0.5) Closed all programs
1) Uninstalled Onigiri
1.5) Disk Cleanup (Check mark everything on the list)
2) Restarted Computer
3) Deleted (C:\CyberStep\Onigiri_US) folder
4) Deleted (C:\Users\< Username >\AppData\Roaming\cobra) hidden folder
5) Redownloaded Client (http://download.getamped.com/US_Onigiri ... Ssetup.exe)
6) Reinstalled Onigiri
6.5) Added onigiri.exe to Windows Firewall exceptions
7) Launched Onigiri
8) Left it to update and download new packages
9) Pressed Start Game
10) Left it on Login Screen while it's downloading more updates
11) Logged-in Successfully

After 15hour downloading using this method, still not workin for me... :cry:

Can you do the following steps if you still haven't fixed the error?
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator
- Type and enter...
Code: Select all
cd %HOMEPATH%\Desktop

- Type and enter...
Code: Select all
dir "C:\CyberStep\Onigiri_US" /s > result.txt

- Upload "result.txt" to http://ge.tt/ and copy url link to a notepad (result.txt should be on your Desktop)
- Upload ""pkgstatus.json" to http://ge.tt/ and copy url link again (pkgstatus.json should be inside the pkg folder)
- Post the 2 links here.


Or you can also just give me a screenshot of your pkg folder, but I can get a much better look if you use the steps above.

Okay.
Delete C:\Users\< Your Username >\AppData\Roaming\cobra hidden folder again.
Go to your pkg folder and move "locale_us-0024.kxr" and "pkgstatus.json" files somewhere else as a backup.
Then download this: https://www.mediafire.com/?4rd69w00svpu6q4
Then extract the files into your pkg folder.
Try logging in now.

Wow it worked, even with my old Onigiri client from my other Pc by using this method = it's totally workin.

I'm sorry that I couldn't put it in result.txt since I had problem doing it... (´Д`; ) I hope this helps...
