And this one too...
"The 'Chiami Magatama' and 'Popstar Accessory' have had their effects changed:
From now on, it will only restore a maximum of half a players maximum HP, and only works when a player has less than 50% their max HP at the time of use."
And now my Chian's gone. My 2x +6% SF & 2x +6 Crit. Chian/Chiama Mag whatever. I hope they return my Chiami with the same ornamentations. Why do you have to be so harsh CS? I waaaaant it baaaaaack!!
Annette wrote:The old Chian pretty heavily broke the game. Here's to hoping that "Super Chiami Magatama" isn't a permanent grandfathering of the old Chian. That would just be stupid.
Thank goodness for the accessory change.

While I do agree that doing things as a party is much more fun than overpowering everything solo and that damage output can get pretty absurd, changing that would be changing Onigiri's core gameplay. The high damage from both players and enemies is a large part of what this game is about. You can't tinker with that too much without making Onigiri feel like an entirely different game. Whether or not that would be a good thing is up for debate but that's not what this is about.
Chian completely threw that idea out the window. There was little to no risk in charging in Ougi... Ougi-ing? Ougi-ing once you got to the point where a crit would one-shot. It literally allowed you to cheat death by healing through damage that had just dropped you to 0 HP. Go watch any of the numerous "Look at how many Ougis I have" Sword videos and tell me they would still be playing the same reckless way if they didn't have Chian equipped. A single Magatama entirely destroyed any concept of risk versus reward and anyone who didn't see a nerf coming was kidding themselves.
Momiji wrote:That said, even with good defence magatamas most still get one-shot. For low levels, the amount they heal is not even sufficient to keep themselves alive.
If this is CS's idea of getting more people to play as Healers, it is a really cruel joke.
Some players, like myself base Chian as a core component of the build, having Chian to only heal below 50 % is ridiculous, considering most SF magatamas only work past 50%.
Chian
Dusk
Ronin
Merc Ore
and crit based builds, with this is totally dashed with Chinami nerfed as it is now.
