WOW that was wordy... I do realize that you need a fairly good group of players to do this, and if you aren't strong enough... go back to Echigo Estate. JP players grind there til 100 anyways.

Not everyone has a static group sporting 20 combined Ougis. Yes that was (probably) hyperbole.

At level 84 I can get 6.7m experience per hour solo by standing in one spot camping a single enemy. In a party that total can be doubled or tripled depending on how populated the area is and how willing everyone is to actually grind instead of leech.

I realize the experience would gradually decrease with level but let me reiterate: 6.7m per hour standing in one spot camping a single enemy. Even with the decreased experience at higher levels, more efficient killing will far outweigh the experience penalty.

Field grinding may not be the absolute best thing available for everyone but it's miles ahead of anything we had before. Estate/Grotto are obsolete aside from farming for specific items.

You're probably around 5k per mob kill then right? I get just above 700-800 xp on field mobs (if I'm remembering correctly) for comparison. You don't really need 20 combined ougi for Ginza Control... I'm actually fairly sure you can get along with each person having just 2-3 (One being a rapid storm) and some practice. Chidori alcohol is more than enough to make up for the lack of extra ougi (Considering I use chidori and as a result I only use 2-4 of my 8 ougi and I'm not careful AT ALL about my ougi usage). The big reasons I advocate EE/Grotto and the Ginza dungeons rather than field mobs is due to item drops. To be geared enough to do Ginza dungeons, you need the EE/Grotto weapons at decently high enchant. And as far as I know, the only way to get the level 105 red weapons a lot of people will probably use to farm Satan with is in the Edo dungeons. Control Room on hell is also the only place that the 105 gold rarity recipes will drop as well.

Edit: Scratch that... I can get 2k xp if I camp the thunder cats.

So field grinding is apparently a good thing to do in the Edo sewers now? I'll have to try that right away when I logon. I wonder how well soloing would go there though? And at least there will be no need for leechers in fields right?

And reposting these unanswered questions:

    - I stopped doing the new content last night and apparently will have to save the 'boss' for my next quest. How far am I from finishing the rest of the content at that point?

    - What are the max friendship levels for this content?

I was unable to move on with the boss with the floating eyeballs. Must be some trick to beating it but guess I'll just try my luck again later.

Don't solo field grind. There is absolutely no reason not to be in a party and there are not enough channels to support everyone acting selfish. Edo has finally brought something to encourage grinding as a party rather than relying on carries/leechers so make use of it properly.

You're... maybe halfway finished? There are a handful of short-ish dungeons and a few longer ones. Off the top of my head I'd guess 10 more dungeon quests; apparently I have a horrible memory for having completed everything earlier today. Someone else may be able to give you a more accurate answer.

As for companions... I'm fairly certain Kaguya and Momo max at 24(thanks Cinder) and Yoshitsune at 26. If it's any further help you shouldn't expect anyone to get more than one or two levels compared to the previous content cap. Apologies for not having a more comprehensive answer.

Thanks for the replies.

I'd still prefer to go solo rather than get annoyed with leechers and incompetent people though. Guess I'll see how it goes later though.

If someone is leeching you kick them from the party.

Experience is shared across the entire map so it doesn't matter how incompetent, undergeared or underleveled someone is; If they're only capable of killing one enemy per minute they're still contributing more than you would have gotten solo. Spread out across the map, have everyone do their own thing and watch the numbers flood your chat.

Your personal kills are always going to be worth full experience regardless of how many people are in your party but your "leeched" experience lowers slightly with each person that joins. Realistically speaking you aren't going to find yourself gaining fewer total experience by inviting someone unless you're stacking your party with high level Ougi spammers.

Tried the 5p party... it was great... only till someone had to afk for an hour in the party though >.>. Putting that aside, there's also a problem with the limited channels and space the maps have. Assuming we can fit 2 parties in Marunouchi's fields, we will only have 4 at a time since there are only 2 channels right? We seem to have gotten off from leechers and are moving onto player wars for the spots.

Yeah just pm me in-game when you logon. I'll try to sort out a new group pointed towards grinding in the Edo sewers.

Question: Is there any video that shows the ougi of Satan weapons? Was wondering if they were of any use at all.

Hello Chernoborg :).

Thanks for adding me in-party. Was fun hunting with you guys yesterday ;).

More-chan and me were successfully defeated the brynhildr in the darkness- eyes monster yesterday. It broke 2 of my high level staffs though >,<;

======

The EXP was significantly better inside the sewer. But for grinding weapons, how about in Azami Crossing/Wasarubi? Maybe we talk about it later ;). I will need it when reach lv.92+, for now if you guys hunt I'll become full support, it is much better xD.

Thanks :). Satan Weapons has Ougis already inserted.It might be worth it because of the Ougis. I wonder if there IS a Satan-staff drop weapon.

Is there anything better for a bow user over the Yuusai title now? i have almost 140 dex (more towards 130 without the title) so i'm sure there's another title out there that could provide higher benefits, figured i would ask first here since i'm unsure xD

Bow titles are kinda underwhelming from what I've seen. For Affinity you only get 20-25% while most other weapons get 50-60% so you're stuck with 5 Dex 20% affinity or... I think another gives 4 Vit, 3 Dex and 25% affinity.

As far as damage goes there's one that gives 15% for a bunch of elements including Pierce and Holy, so that's a decent boost to things like Rapid Shot, Exorcist Arrow and White Peacock. There's also a title for 30 Lightning Element but it requires an absurd amount of Wisdom that most Bow users wont ever see. If you're looking for more general boost you're pretty much stuck with stat-based titles or something raising Crit. If none of those seem too appealing you could just stick with an experience/item drop title to work your way toward Satan weapons faster.

You're probably getting that much exp because you significantly underlevelled compared to the field mobs itself. On my alt level 83, I notice that I'm getting nearly 1/3~1/4 the EXP i do on my main which is level 100. It will start falling off pretty quickly. Surprisingly enough, field mobbing is still faster than Echigo/Grotto as long as you can actually kill them within 1~3 hits.

However, once you do reach the point that you can grind the actual dungeons, I'd suggest starting a 3~5 man party for sewers. Even a 3 man hell gives a rather significant amount (not as much as a 5 man of course, but it's still way faster than grinding field mobs). Either that or another easier method is to constantly grind Ginza Pipe #4 and leave before the boss room. It also yields quite a bit of exp that way as well.
Wedge flexes a lot.
