To me it seems like only the monster level (taken from the wiki) and the dungeon matter. Room of rites having at least a 17 lvl range in magatama for lvl 34 monsters while dungeons like echigo estate seeming to have a much lower range really makes me think that nothing definite can be said about the relation between monster levels and magatama drops (aside from the fact that monsters will not drop magatama higher than its level or magatama which are ridiculously lower than its level).
I can't say with 100% certainty but there seems to be multiple factors regarding which magatama are able to drop. The dungeon I farm most often, for example, drops magatama within a 9 level range of each other and nothing I've gotten so far has been within three levels of the monsters. Obviously there is a limit to how low level the drops go and this definitely scales up as you do higher level dungeons, that much is pretty clear. Whether or not magatama are restricted to specific dungeons, however... that one I'm not sure of yet.
I will say that, after looking at the wiki, I have acquired every single non-crafted magatama that fits the level range of what I have been getting while farming despite the wiki only listing specific dungeons. I'm going to assume these are merely confirmed drop locations and not meant to imply you -must- farm those locations for that specific magatama. This information comes from tens of thousands(if not more) of recorded kills so I'm pretty confident in saying it's mathematically significant.
Magatama recipes:
These seem to drop in a number of dungeons and only ever on hard or hell. I'm not sure if the mode or pt size matters.
It's been a while since I've cleared out my magatama recipies so unfortunately I have a bunch of clutter from pretty much all level ranges. I can say for certain that I've gotten nearly a full page worth of recipies from a single dungeon while solo and I'm pretty confident that Hell has a noticeable increase in recipe drop rates. They may or may not be restricted by dungeon but if so it's very lax restriction in most cases. I'd be more inclined to believe it's based on level.
Bottle Forms:
Well, early game I never got these in normal mode, only ever in hard or hell, but then in edo I got a bottle order form for, I think it was a skull bottle from a nue in normal mode (I do have a ss but won't add it for space). Does the mode matter for these?
Liquor:
Do these drop? Nothing comes to mind at the moment...
Off the top of my head I can only remember getting Kutani Teapot Forms(one or two per hour of farming) though I'm certain I've gotten others. As for liquors I can't recall any. With the number of dungeons I've farmed and recorded drops in I'm almost certain that anything alcohol related has much stricter restrictions than magatamas. Likely dungeon or enemy based rather than level.
Weapon recipes:
These seem specific to dungeons or bosses but I can't be sure. The drop rate is so low that unless you grind a dungeon then you're probably never going to get it so your best chance is to try the dungeon where someone else has gotten it before. Then there are the boss ones which I doubt drop anywhere else, such as the sword of courage from hades or genobuster. Genobuster I got from doing hard mode in a pt so I suspect that for weapon recipes, there is no required mode but doing a higher difficulty will increase your chances.
Again, going to have to assume these are tied to specific enemies or dungeons. While I have 21 different magatama recipies(and many multiples of each) I only have a single weapon recipe... and it's for a weapon with a higher level requirement than anything I've been killing. I think it's safe to assume that weapon recipies either do not drop at all from the several dungeons I've been farming or they require a specific difficulty(some things I farm on Hard, others I farm on Hell so it's possible that I've missed some drops in either case.) I know for a fact that there are several weapon recipies close to the wide range of what I've been farming so that lends more evidence to very specific drop locations/requirements.
