I left for like 2 or 3 months and I just returned. I can hardly find someone in Oni and other places, also I've been searching for a helper that can help me level up (Currently lvl 33 and at Kaga) for so long. It's like I'm in a parallel world, is it me or people became selfish or the game is inactive now?

The first two or three areas seem just as populated as they were a month or two ago.

Kaga is now a ghost town because because nobody carries SF anymore... meaning everyone is either off grinding whatever they can handle to deal with the level gap or they've quit.

Beats me. I went on hiatus for a month after the festival at our avatar and I return to find Kyoto a ghosttown and shockingly the byakko cavern where people under lvl 40 usually grind almost empty as well.

I haven't even save Amaterasu and I am worried it is gonna take forever for me to reach Lvl 50.
