Smelting On Xbox One different?

I'm playing on Xbox one (Japanese language) and am having issues with the smelting process. I leveled a weapon to 10 and then smelted it. All was good. Then I leveled it to 20 and smelted again, but this time my weapon seemed to have been destroyed. From reading online and looking at various videos, I was under the belief that weapons couldn't be destroyed by this process until they were much high level. I went back and looked, and in the smelt menu it doesn't even show a % for destroy chance at the bottom. It only shows a success chance. Did something change or is this possibly a glitch?

Since nobody answered, I was able to figure out that the xbox one version ALWAYS destroys the item when smelting fails. Sort of a downer so I'm not sure I'll be wasting my time to upgrade weapons until I really have to.

Wow, that sucks. Hopefully reset buttons are more common in that version :/

Hopefully they'll change that since it's still in beta? Otherwise I'd probably return it if I were you.. That just seems like a huge headache going through the game without enhancing weapons. And the option to buy weapons from other players will be extremely limited for a while..

I do like the idea of single player and multiplayer options though, if there are still field bosses in the xbox version, you'd have them all to yourself lol.
