If you see anything you like, you can add it to the golden ladle for a free refill (every 30min -.-") before leveling Ibaraki. One which I like is Dazzling Capital since it makes it hard to run out of sp as long as you have meditation, but it's also not entirely practical (drains 90% of your sp on usage). I can't remember the level, but it was somewhere around Kusatsu, iirc anyway.

Hmm... Dazzling Capital seems to be relatively exclusive Liquor. From my understanding after using the wiki, no one can buy Dazzling Capital from the shop (unless the wiki is missing information...?). It seems to be only available through "On the House." Your way of using Dazzling Capital with Meditation never occurred to me before. It's a very interesting pairing.

Dazzling Capital or Wheatsplosion can be obtained at "On the House" Level 6 (Friendship Levels 23-26) with the Golden Ladle. Dazzling Capital can also be obtained "On the House" Level 7 (Friendship Levels 27-29) with the Golden Ladle. No other acquisition method seems to have been recorded on the wiki...

It is literally the most important alcohol. Not maxing Ibaraki is just silly. You already get drunk way too easily.

Not having Chidori requires the player to have at least one more offensive weapon.

Some weapons cannot even function without Chidori. For example, I can't even infinitely use Asura spin with axe unless I have THREE axes and chidori. Taking chidori away would force me to have more than four axes with double asura, which is flat out impossible.

I definitely hope it's tradable. It's worth checking out.

Also, it seems that your recommended level for Ibaraki is MAX level in order to add resistance the drunkenness effect. That's an understandable reason.

Following up on this, both swords and twin swords require at minimum 4 Ougi Thunder Beast and a Chidori (2 weapons) or 6 Thunder Beasts (3 weapons) to be able to use TB indefinitely (assuming you have the sp). Once you get to higher levels (as in when you start needing to craft the end game weapons rather than identify them) it becomes a huge pain to get multiple +100s unless you have plenty of resources to spend.

If you decide you don't want to make a new character, some other alcohols you could use would include Camellia Nightingale (15% rank 3+ sf), Feast of the Damned (20 seconds of full invulnerability followed by instant death... typically used for a boss fight) or more attack steroids (such as Mist Tengu and the others you have mentioned). Daikokuin (40% Rank 6+ sf) was removed from our version of the game or I would recommend it. Although these are less effective options than Chidori (which basically equates to a 30-40% increase in damage since more skills = more damage), they still serve the purpose of increasing your damage output in one way or another.

Benten's Blessing and Moth Orchid are the two resolute alcohols. When you take fatal damage, they restore 10 or 500 hp respectively. They basically prevent you from dying in one hit, and each has their own separate 3 minute cooldown. Wheatsplosion instantly reduces your hp by 20% but will clear any negative effects such as stop, stun, paralyze, etc. Also, if I recall correctly, you can purchase Wheatsplosion and don't need One on the House for it.

If you feel like gambling and you have the Drunken Samurai one on the house, you could use it as a replacement for Mist Tengu. Just remember that it comes with a chance for your attacks to miss.

Regarding Dazzling Capital... it's a One on the House exclusive. You can currently get it with a "maxed" (Edo content) level Ibaraki Douji and it goes into the Golden Ladle.
