Following multiple grievances in game recently, I'm having to re-evaluate my rating. 40/100 would be more accurate of my feelings now. Depressingly low ryou earnings make life a bitch. Lag has killed me more times than I care to count. Animations tend to be out of sync with the actual attack (either damage will appear before the animation even starts, or about ten seconds after the animation finishes. Same thing happens with healing a lot). Mobs seem to have infinite range in some cases, as well as microscopic hit boxes. The amount of times I've put my sword/axe right through a mob's head, only to somehow still miss, defies belief. Meanwhile my hit box seems to be the size of Russia. Yatsukazou can hit me anywhere in that boss room. Well, unless he does that corkscrew attack. If he slashes, he's guaranteed to hit. Most partners suck in combat, save for Shizuka, who actually seems to know what she's doing. Yoshitsune, Miroku, Momotarou and the Youkai all seem to have no concept of dodging, they just try to headbutt my enemies to death. Friendship items seem to be about as rare as an Ancient Coin as well. Most of mine I get from Lucky boxes or Nyankoropon since the dungeons rarely give me any (and yes, I am aware that mobs more than 10 levels below my level don't drop any. I'm referring to mobs that should be dropping the items but don't anyway. Even in Fever Time these drops are rare). That's all on top of the fact that vitality and defence are effectively useless. I've noticed that the damage ratings on weapons don't seem to mean much either. My tank has an Ugenhaou that should be dealing around 800-1100 damage, but I need a crit just to clear 300 damage. When I noticed that, I noticed that the same is true on pretty much every weapon in the game. It's not easy clearing a dungeon with a weapon that seems to be weaker than my own fists. I'd punch enemies to death, but the game doesn't allow that unfortunately.
So, with all of that bugging me, I've had to drop my rating. I don't want to quit the game just yet though. Hopefully things will get fixed over time and the game will improve. In the meantime, I just want to see how far I can get before I go insane. I'd like to hit Level 100 at the very least, but we'll just have to see. That much grinding might break me.
