Unarmed fighting? Would be nice, but difficult to do. I mean fists aren't going to do a whole lot of good against Odin. But if they had some gnarly spiked gloves, I'd go for that. Momotarou could do with a kick in the chin.

Probably never.
Instead of new weapon types, they'd most likely release new partners with new weapon types instead.
