Anyone feel like they lose ryou when leveling?

It must be because I use cross and star weapons for dungeons but unless it is a fever event or I have ryou boost on, I spend more on repairs than what the dungeon gives me. Especially pipe 3.

Now I don't want to complain too much but I wonder if this is intended. I tend to spam Ougis a lot, especially True Spirit Blast in Oushuu and Thunder Beast in Pipe 3, but no matter what, it seems I always lose 100k ryou after repairs and restock unless fever or ryou boost.

Anyone else have this problem?

Hermit Crab Grotto can be good income if it feels generous and drops like 10~15 x 100k Ryou Boxes in addition to the mob drop.

Player side solution: Skip the boss/ Use the Oni's Dagger

CS side solution: Make bosses drop more ryou.

I was farming Kaji for the magatama recipe and got negative ryou no matter which mode I tried.

Or was it a pt size thing?

Between Shizuka ripping me off blind with her rates and demands for identifying weapons, and Yoshi being incompetent towards repairing and smelting, I tend to lose a bit of Ryou too.

I make up for it by selling every damn thing that isn't better than my weapons and isn't part of a quest I'm on. Which ends up being everything.
