need help in quest

You gave up on opening chests pretty early. Usually they don't have anything good early on, but at around Kaga they start dropping glass marbles and stones, and later on (around Edo), they start dropping Magatama, so keep in mind that they do get better. I always open them just to level skills, anyway.

Why did you not go back and read the quest? Like holy fuck, I simply do not understand how you can be so mentally deficient that you are unable to complete such a simple quest.

Yellow Dragon Spire. I've heard of someone who jumped out straight after beating Benkei, and had to run again to complete the quest. I wouldn't be surprised if someone bailed on Yakumo Shrine too soon either. Can't remember if Gedoumaru's Hideout was okay to bail on straight away or not, but I think it *might* have been safe. I think Well of Five Virtues might be like that too, I'm not sure. Kyoukotsu's Lair and Nishidera I know are fine to exit though.

This seems like a case of either not gathering the orbs, or exiting the dungeon before talking to the NPC. Needs an explaination, not verbal abuse of the new player. Anyway:

At Byakkou Cavern and Seiryuu Grotto, you need to gather 4 orbs from the chests and give them to the NPC at the end of the dungeon. At Genbu Temple and Suzaku Mansion, you have to talk to the NPC twice to receive the jewels. (After you clear the dungeon, go thru the next portal to talk to the NPC, don't use alt>leave dungeon).

If you are clearing a dungeon for the first time, or for a quest, it's always best to use the exit portal instead of alt>leave dungeon. It's an easy enough mistake to make, esp for someone just starting the game. Jerks here really need to stfu.

Not only are you posting this a week late after OP closed it or at least attempted to but you are pretty much replying the same responses already given just in a different wording/format.. which by now if he hasn't already figured out how to do the quest you're making him look even more retarded if he still needs an explanation.

It's 5 Dragon Orbs (Seiryuu) and 5 Tiger Fangs (Byakkou), not four, and it's the bosses you talk to. "NPC" is a pretty vague term. While the bosses *are* NPCs in their own right, they're much easier to identify under the label of "boss". Like I already said in my previous comment, it's the Hiderigami and Yagyou-san.

As further advice I'd say never esc>Exit a dungeon on the first run through, especially if it's a quest dungeon. After that you can esc>exit as much as you like, except for in a quest (Brotherly Bonds quest would be an example of this. You have to speak to the little Gankubi by the shrine in Hosuseri instead of jumping out straight after beating the Oni-basami).
