Friendship items, I need help and advice please!!

So I am level 63 Healer, therefor things around my level are hard to kill but I need to upgrade Lady Shizuka to continue on with the game (I just finished Den of Needles and have to inspect the door).

Where can I farm for friendship items? I read somewhere that they can't be any lower than 10 levels than my current level or they wont drop, is that true?

Yes, however, note that at 10 levels lower, you'll get a few but they'll be rare. Also, you can occasionally get a few from Miroku's Bargains which may help.

I think you would probably know more about that than anyone else. There's not much difference between dungeons. Just do whatever is more efficient for your play style. The only things that matter are youkai level and number of kills. As long as you're doing a dungeon close to your level, or higher, you should be getting them at a standard rate.

I don't know of any particular dungeons, but try running in a party. More mobs that way, which means better drop rates. I've heard that Hermit Crab Grotto is good for partner items though.

Hermit Crab Grotto is just before Echigo. i.e. you can't enter it if you still need to

inspect the door

in Sekigahara.
