So uh...how many people still stuck in edo?

Postby Sorozone » 07 Oct 2015, 18:49

2 new area updates and I'm still stuck in edo....is this normal? I am still level 90 something and the game was fine up until I got halfway through the sewer dungeons. Nobody wants to help with exp grinding either and cant solo dungeons to grind for myself, am I stuck? Game seems to be dead and people who "carry runs" for exp often just do it with their friends so I'm stuck in edo, have been for afew months now. I want to progress but I can't. : |

Maybe try Satan during fevers. There'd probably be less people now than before the update but the xp's not bad and you get weapons you'll need.

This advice probably won't work any more since I don't think that people make parties there now, judging from people asking for Satan carries on the party recruitment board. EXP rates have been boosted recently, though, so it may be a little easier to progress now.

Just googled and found out that Satan (for me) hasn't been unlocked yet since I'm still finishing soloing the Sewers, I think I'm about 1 or 2 dungeons behind his. Though I'm running out of soul eggs and it takes me about 10 minutes to solo these super tanky bosses. And nobody seems to want to help me grind some levels / equips in any sewers. My amaya's do really good damage against normal mode enemies and my ougi restrictions as well, but the bosses are just mega tanky and I almost run out of durability and die about 4 - 8 times on each boss. The last boss I killed was the giant yagyu-san. So I don't know how close I am to Satan yet. Maybe I can get some carries for abit? I hate asking to leech but I only want to leech neough to solo runs myself for exp, not to be carried through the game. Also is Satan the last boss in edo?

And one last irrelevant question, but do 2 people in a dungeon end up buffing the enemies or are they still the same as 1 person difficulty? Cuz I carried someone while farming golden eyes earlier in echigo and the enemies didnt seem to get buffed at all.

Your post was made 2 months ago, so I must say I'm surprised you're still in Edo unless this means you took a break. I don't normally reply, but it's hard to find players that actually work for their exp. Now the game is infested with leeches that don't even have good equipment well over 110, and it disgusts me that I see them begging for help. This is why many people aren't grinding anymore. If they'd rather have someone play the game for them, they should just go watch it on youtube or something. I said that more for others to see as opposed to me venting. If you don't mind, could you please share your equipment? Bosses in the sewers are large and tanky. There are many guides and what skills to use, and what items drop where. Golden eyes are probably too weak to use around that area, or will take a very long time and a lot of durability. If you want to try and farm weapons, you could kill the first mob in pipe 3 or something, and try to ID some Lightning gores (assuming you use bows). Farming Ryou at Hermit Crab grotto is recommended since you will need a lot of ryou for smelting from now on. Like, a lot. Also, the exp in HCG might be useful to help you level up. And yes, the difficulty of the monsters does change from 1 man to 2 man. It is not very drastic though. You can aim your mouse over the enemy to see their level so you can easily tell their power difference.

In most cases, the enemies are actually lower levels in 2 man parties than solo and there's also less.

I can't take any screenshots now but my stats are basically 1 +70 golden eye, 1 +80 golden eye, 1 +60 golden eye, and sadly a +50 gare which I know is extremely weak lol. Each bow has amaya's punishment and restriction (2 GEKIs). They also all have icicle arrows (and storms). I grinded in echigo estate from lvl 70 - 92 lol So I kinda thought it was ideal for exp until I reach the 90s when exp went from 1million to about 60k per run. I also have 4 banana magatamas and max DEX and alot of mind for alot of MP. Where is the hermit crab grotto again? I know it's in one of the lines but I forgot which one. After I grind enough money (maybe 30m or more) I'll try to do the first set of enemies in the first sewer.

Also tried soloing satan but his weird hadoken thing keeps killing me and sometimes I can negate damage by blocking but sometimes it just kills me anyway even tho I timed it the same everytime. Would anyone mind helping me out with this guy? I saw youtube videos but those are all axe / odachi users, none of them use bows.
