I've not heard of Warding Haniwa, so I can't say for certain, but it's probably only on the JP server at the moment.

I have a question about a hybrid set-up I'm wondering about. Would it be a better idea to go with Spear/Bow or Spear/Wand? I've read that Spears are best for mobbing, so I'm settled on that (plus there are some pretty amazing looking Spears out there) but I'm a little uncertain about which ranged weapon to go with. My two main hybrids both use bows, mostly for their high attack speed, plus Venom Arrow & PRS have better range than Poison Cloud, so I'd rather use those against Goldarumas. On the other hand, Wands seem to have the highest DPS due to them being buffed about a billion times, plus their AoE skills are pretty OP as well. I'm just trying to decide on one or the other. Boosting WIS seems to have an effect on HP as well, I've noticed. Seems to up my max HP I think. Whereas DEX, does that boost critical or am I just imagining things? At some point I really need to take a look at what exactly each stat does, because I keep forgetting.

In Wiki said tha yes, but i don't remember of get it with no one of my characters.

First and foremost, the Wiki is incomplete. Second, it most likely does exist but no one made a page for it.

The wiki isn't incomplete. The wiki is too complete. I've said multiple times in the past that we have a guy who digs through the game code. We have stuff on our wiki that is not released or will never be released.

I would not suggest hybrids, but...

If I had to pick one, I'd say bow since you'll probably be needing Dex anyway.

Venom arrow and PRS are weak vs Goldaruma. Also, this shouldn't affect your stat choices because I'm fairly certain that attack plays no part in Goldaruma damage calculations (ie. only the element and number of hits matter -and maybe crits...).

Probably from levelling since level, pow and vit are the factors for hp.

Yes, it boosts both critical rate and your attack when you crit (up to 950 attack).

Just adding in that all quest pages have been added recently so there should only be event quests missing, if any.

I think I'm the only "high level" hybrid, and I agree with Firon. It is not a wise choice, because you sacrifice the ability to use a weapon to its full potential in order to slightly use a different one. To put it simply, hybrid are alright for smaller things since they can die to your main weapon, and you can clean up with your sub weapon while your skills are on cool down, however if you're talking about total damage, it would take 2 of your power moves using both your main and sub weapon to equal 1 power move to someone that mains just 1 weapon (This is neglecting the 105 magas if a pure build is using that version, since a hybrid can't use 105s efficiently). In this aspect, taking on dungeons solo as a hybrid proves difficult at times. It's fun, but with a lack of players to help you out, it might not be the best idea. You'll probably realize this when hunting the SF magas for hybrids. In warabizuka, the Pressure Point (Spear and Bow) and Log (Spear and Wand) magas drop there. The smaller things will die in one hit, but the todaiki will probably take 2, one from your main, one from your sub. This might get you killed. Alot.

That being said, I also agree with the Spear and Bow build. The pierce affinity you may acquire can get a small synergy boost, or even ice with ice blossom and icicle arrow, lighting with eternal thunder and flash shot, etc. Dex is also the best stat along with mnd. You'll need plenty of SP, because since you essentially need to use twice as many moves, so you'll chug through it.

I know hybridding isn't easy, but I like it sometimes. I currently have 2 hybrids and 6 specialists, but I'm planning on adding two more specialists (axe and TS I'm missing) and two more hybrids. Sounds like Spear/Bow will be the better option, so that's good to know. I prefer bows to wands anyway, so this works out.

This one just occurred to me: does the giant Kikuzou that spawns near Kikaigahara Rest Stop have the same spawning frequency as Field Bosses? And are there others like it? Like... I dunno... a giant Tsujigami in Sekigahara, or something, or is it just that one?

Attack definitely affects Poison Cloud damage against Goldarumas. My pure power characters fall just short of one full Poison Cloud IV killing a Kyoto Ninosuke, while my same level wand main can kill them in a single tick of Poison Cloud II--70ish damage per tick vs over 300.

It just doesn't matter since any build can make short work of Ichinosukes and Ninosukes, while Sannosukes are far too rare to really worry about.

The reason I said ^ was because, theoretically, attacks on Goldaruma should be receiving a "50 000 000" attack reduction before entering damage calculations which is waaaaay above any attack value possible (not damage). Are you sure that the entire durations of the skills were applied? That aside, it makes sense that the ticks are higher since, presumably, you're getting less hits to apply the entire skill force.

I could always be wrong about this, though, since I haven't really looked into damage calculations extensively. Is the above consistently happening?

Yes and yes. I've farmed Goldarumas on at least a dozen different characters, and I tested again to make sure before I made that post. And I just checked again before making this one--a pure power Daring did 48 damage per Poison Cloud II tick to a Goldaruma in Gedoumaru Hell, while a pure wisdom Cautious did over 300. Both characters are level 51. I am fairly sure that the skill level of Poison Cloud affects damage as well. It should have been pretty easy for you to test yourself.

From what I've observed, both a level 7 wand and a level 97 wand, both with poison cloud VI did similar damage on Edo Goldaruma (no effective skill force mags, 100 wis, +0 weapons).

Yeah, missed that one. Skill Force should be a factor. My point was that Attack shouldn't make a difference.
