And I just checked again before making this one--a pure power Daring did 48 damage per Poison Cloud II tick to a Goldaruma in Gedoumaru Hell, while a pure wisdom Cautious did over 300. Both characters are level 51. I am fairly sure that the skill level of Poison Cloud affects damage as well. It should have been pretty easy for you to test yourself.

From what I've observed, both a level 7 wand and a level 97 wand, both with poison cloud VI did similar damage on Edo Goldaruma (no effective skill force mags, 100 wis, +0 weapons).

If that was on the same character and you didn't grind Poison Cloud in between, then it should have been exactly the same damage, not similar. Maybe the effects are simply less pronounced at higher levels.

It's true that the Poison Cloud levels shown here were 1 as opposed to 14, but if you're actually going to say that that more than sextupled the damage then I'll go along with it until I can prove otherwise.

On second thoughts, you may be right. It seems unusual for Goldaruma to be so skewed towards a particular class. IIRC, poison element is tripled on Goldaruma so the effect wouldn't be that much. Btw, the reason I said "similar damage" was because I generally compared things by the hp % rather than looking at the "ticks". I'll try looking into the damage formulae again, particularly the magic damage one, but I probably won't get anything for a while...

Just an FYI @Wibberish: You might want to link the "Huge Thumbnail" images rather than full size, as only half the screenshot gets displayed otherwise. In uncropped photos anyway. Just a suggestion.

Had a query related to Rain of Judgment skill on staff.

The staff guide says that it can stun bosses when a higher rank is cast, but does this feature only apply when the boss is weak to Rain element? Or does it apply to all possible bosses which are even Very Strong to rain element? :^)

Stunning is unrelated to elements. Eg. Using Thunder Beast to stun Satan.

Note that not everything can be stunned, though.

I am at the point in the game where I have to pick between the eastern and eastern armies, neither really appeals to me though. Anyways, what are the consequences picking either one? Like what items/quests I can't get if I pick one side rather the other? The main reason I am asking this I remotely heard the Fox Charm is used for a quest and can only be obtain by beating the western army boss....

I've been told that it doesn't really make any difference in the long run, so just pick whoever you like the look of I guess. I went with Mitsunari because well... Kitsune looks way cooler than Tanuki.

It's essentially irrelevant as far as I know; the only real differences that come to mind are as follows:
1) There are 2 titles specific to each side, but both have easily obtainable alternatives that do exactly the same thing.
2) If you need to farm materials from either of the generals, the side you ally with will have a very slightly harder dungeon as it will be located in Nether Sekigahara.
That's about it.

I personally prefer the Western side since it gives the dungeon which you can infinite farm fireworks (for the Crimson Mystery durability/fire ornament) from.

What's the verdict on Ougi 15 (Soul Reaper Scythe)? Good? Crap? Huge start-up time? Wondering whether I should bother trying to get it.

I'm just holding onto mine for now (no weapon to put it on, anyway) since I've got no idea what CS is planning for Ougi (in terms of balancing or w/e). The durability seems high, the cool down looks good. From the animation, it looks usable. As for damage... no idea. The SF looks relatively high (still less than landmine flame VII @3k sf...but then again, everything is), but I haven't used it myself yet so I don't know how many hits it has or if it's good for groups. The elements it has are also difficult to build (generally). There's also a chance that it'll be overshadowed by other ougi if they ever get buffed.
