Echigo Friendship Levels

So on my new character I don't wanna screw up and power-level myself into a dead-end so I'll ask now. I'm level 73 up to Sado Mine, but currently grinding Secluded Forest (Hell) first room with a Nothingness Magatama for Friendship Items - as many as I possibly can. And my question is what Friendship levels should you get Yoshitsune and Kaguya up to before continuing on to the Edo storyline? I can solo Echigo Estate Hell (Don't ask, I've got a badass bow.) and what have you not, so I'm ready to grind myself to level 100 in a single day if need be. But for now I'm just a little worried that if I do that my Friendship levels won't make it in time to prepare me for Satan weapons and 105 Magatama.
Currently my Yoshitsune is at 15 and my Kaguya is at 13. I figured it wouldn't be nearly enough so I'm just here to confirm on what level they should be. Again I don't wanna have to go back and grind for Friendship Items when I realize Yoshitsune's level isn't high enough to make a D3 CROSS or Kaguya can't make or Ornament any of my Magatama.
P.S. While we're here, thoughts on Momo's level? Though I'd mostly like to know Yoshitsune's and Kaguya's.

Yoshitsune needs to be 22 and kaguya needs to be 24. I would worry about it if I was you, if your using bows then I suggest getting Mango Magatamas as these will make good substitutes until you can get the attack star magatamas. Honestly all you need to do is get past Edo and past Ooshuu Highway and to Mangrashima where you can farm a dungeon called Banjiro island. There are alot of easy to kill enemies that only drop friendship items and in a five man party during fever you can get about 40 of each friendship item per run so it's easily the best place for it. Right now focus on leveling and getting your dmg up before doing friendships, you can sort all that buisness later on. Also before you reach edo you can get a good amount of friendship items from the baths if you choose the right character to talk to during the whole thing (depends on gender).

I'm farming Secluded Forest right now and they give around 75 per hour normally and 200 with Login Boost and +100%. Or is there a better spot to farm?
Since there are active players here right now... I'm actually a Hybrid Twin Sword / Bow / Spear user (Any disagreements should be saved for an entirely different post) Just asking as far as pre-Satan content goes, are there any weapons worth smithing to replace Golden Eye, Cypher or Rose Maiden? (Not Genobuster, the Slice element syncs poorly with WDS)

Golden Eye is pretty good for a bow user. Honestly I can't advise you if you are thre wep hybrid beucase it's incredibly hard to pull it off so good luck with that. Banjiro island gives you alot more friendship items per hour becuase there about 100-150 youkai in the first room and once you celar it, you can leave. You can beat do this every 3 mins or so if you fast so the friendship per hour is really high. When it comes to other bows (which I can advise on) Lightning gore carried me for awhile much like Albatross did but most people get past satan purely with Golden eye so you should be cool.

From what I've heard, Echigo Estate is good for friendship items, but apparently the best is Hermit Crab Grotto, or so I hear. Haven't gotten that far myself. If you're fine with grinding (especially since you're using a Nothingness mag), I'd recommend maxing out Shizuka, Yoshitsune, Kaguya and Amaterasu prior to Edo. Amaterasu is handy to level thanks to Nigimitama, Sakimitama and Titles. The other three are self explanatory. As for Momo, I don't really use him. Finding good skills that he can evolve is next to impossible thanks to RNG, which is why I suggest maxing Shizuka. You've got a better chance of her IDing weapons with Rank VI and VII skills than you do of finding weapons with good triple-bordered Rank V skills. Besides, if you find weapons that already have Rank VII skills on, that means less time is wasted on skill levelling (since evolving resets the skill to level 0).

I'd also recommend levelling Miroku quite high since his Bargains provide good magatama at higher levels. Ibaraki doesn't need to be levelled *that* high, just high enough for her to make use of the Chidori order form. Susanoo... well fuck that guy as far as I'm concerned. Only level him if you have paperbacks and Yoshitsune's already maxed out.

As for your weapons, Cypher and Golden Eye are fine, and I don't think you'll get a better spear than Rose Maiden for a while, except from Youen Hell, but those are all usually 95-105 weapons. I'm a little worried about your level though, since you're a hybrid I mean. I run 3 hybrids myself, and I've found I have to over level in order to keep up with lower level specialists. Maybe that's just because my mag setup sucks. Haven't gotten around to properly ornamenting them either yet. Not sure if you've got to that stage yet, but later in the game you can get Hunter's Magatama (TS and Bow SF) and Pressure Point Magatama (Bow and Spear SF). Since they have a chakra cost of 35 each, you'll only be able to equip one each (until you get way past 100 anyway), but they could help out. Chiami is generally a good idea, though I'm not sure how it holds up past Edo. Aside from that, there's not much I can advise. I can't go further than Kaga at the moment because my computer can't handle it. Once I finish building my new one I'll be able to carry on, but for now I'm stuck.

I don't know if the same thing can be done with Cypher though. I'm still struggle dodging satan spin kick.

Yeah I can't really give you advice on that regard because I use bows so it's rather easier for me. What I can tell you is the the Chiami will help you greatly if you have good crits and dmg because you can take hits.

I appreciate the feedback but I still need a definitive answer on where to farm. One of the three?

Secluded Forest Hell - I'm level 73, mobs are 72. I go in the first room, lure, and kill them all in one shot, pick up any items, leave dungeon and repeat. Gets me around 75 per hour.

Hermit Crab Grotto Hell - Tried it on my main. I hate any mobs with invincibility frames: namely those damn Mukades. I've just about had it with them burrowing underground delaying my progress. Unless you mean first room only with the Penagglans. It's hard to dodge all their attacks since they spawn directly where you are. If you don't one-shot them you get stunlocked to death.

Echigo Estate Hell - Great for Exp, but I hate Bakenekos and sentient flip-flops.

Stick with Secluded then. HCG is *supposedly* the best, but if it's slowing you down that much, then Secluded Forest would be more efficient. I believe that takes less toll on durability as well.
