This game will ONLY be successful if...

Lag is reduced immensely.

I don't know where the servers are located - I don't know if the game has bad netcode, or if this is just the way the game is, but...

Hit detection is extremely poor. You are at a huge disadvantage with melee weapons because there's a delay time before you even know if your attack connected (meanwhile you're expected to dodge and guard). And due to lag, a lot of melee attacks will result in a hit exchange where you must take damage.

(Note: I'm an east coast USA user with a 100Mbps connection and a gaming PC.) Ok, so that's the main critical thing. Here are my other suggestions.

I feel like the core of the game is solid, but... needs way more options, such as the following graphic options: option to turn off bloom, thick outline for character models (would complement the comic book style), anti-aliasing...

Map design is pretty atrocious and hard to understand at times. Dungeon maps need to be revamped entirely to be more clear and they should also label your start point.

One key press of the W, A, S, D keys should move you about half the space it does now, so it feels more fluid.

There needs to be a menu for setting hotkeys wherever you want.

When using Tab to lock on, you should strafe towards/away from the enemy (right now you just move normally while locked on...)

Weapon switching is clunky. Pressing the F key to open my weapon selections is fine, but I find that needing to hover my mouse in the direction of the weapon I want to be very uncomfortable especially during combat.

More tooltips everywhere to explain stuff. There's like none... when you hover over a stat or something you should get a clear explanation.

Pow, Vit, Wis, Mnd, Dex should all be capitalized (POW, VIT, WIS, MND, DEX).

Need a tutorial on how skills work, skill leveling, skills on items, etc.

Pressing "M" should not also bring up your main menu, making you press ESC twice to exit out of viewing your map.

Last thing Your advertising sucks. If you just post a big boobed anime girl, nobody is gonna know what the heck your game is about. You need to include weapons and cool stuff too. Let people know what kind of game it is. Honestly from your front page portal this could even be an anime or a hentai game. There isn't a single monster or weapon in sight.

By the way, sorry if it seems like bashing. It's a pretty neat game (it basically seems like PSO2 with an open world between dungeons). This honestly feels like an alpha build of a solid game. I'm really surprised that you're releasing it officially on July 1. I don't feel that it's ready for release.

Hmm I to wonder where the servers for the US version is. I think they are all in Japan but its not likely or they set it up poorly since i live in Australia i dont get lag if i go onto the JP version but its there on the US one.

Graphic settings we need more beyond resolution.

walk animation would be nice.

having the hit boxes adjusted owuld be much appreciated to. There are times where i have been hit when im clearly out of range of the attack. Dodging needs fine tuning as well going from dodge to running again is not very fluid, also I wish dodging worked like it did in monster hunter where if timed right the attack will do no damage even if your character passes through the attack, its called an invulnerable screen or something like that.

It's currently in beta testing. Everyone has experienced this lag occasionally. This isn't worth complaining about until its official release.

I have not had any trouble with hit detection except when I am the one that is lagging. According to what you say after this, your connection is 10x better than mine.

(Note: I'm an east coast USA user with a 100Mbps connection and a gaming PC.) Ok, so that's the main critical thing. Here are my other suggestions.

I agree. More options would be nice, but not having those extra options is one of the reasons why the game is relatively small in size and load times.

Map design is pretty atrocious and hard to understand at times. Dungeon maps need to be revamped entirely to be more clear and they should also label your start point.

It's honestly not that difficult. The map design is fine. It's obvious when there's walls blocking everything so you can only really go three directions: Forward, Backwards, and the TINY little side exploration areas. The map that comes up when you press "M" (NOT the mini-map) could use work, however.

One key press of the W, A, S, D keys should move you about half the space it does now, so it feels more fluid.

There needs to be a menu for setting hotkeys wherever you want.

I can agree with the above.

When using Tab to lock on, you should strafe towards/away from the enemy (right now you just move normally while locked on...)

The only difference here is appearance. This doesn't change gameplay at all and I don't think would be worth adding an extra couple animations for.

Weapon switching is clunky. Pressing the F key to open my weapon selections is fine, but I find that needing to hover my mouse in the direction of the weapon I want to be very uncomfortable especially during combat.

No. The 4 weapon system is perfectly fine. Try pressing and holding F and dragging a direction then letting go (Like League of Legends's "Smart Ping" system.)

More tooltips everywhere to explain stuff. There's like none... when you hover over a stat or something you should get a clear explanation.

Try pressing that "?" next to the button that closes windows. MAYBE it brings up these tooltip/help boxes you want.

Pow, Vit, Wis, Mnd, Dex should all be capitalized (POW, VIT, WIS, MND, DEX).

Doesn't change anything really.

Need a tutorial on how skills work, skill leveling, skills on items, etc.

You are given these. Again, try pressing the "?" if you skipped them.

Pressing "M" should not also bring up your main menu, making you press ESC twice to exit out of viewing your map.

Or you can press alt once and it closes everything instead of pressing "ESC" twice.

There's worse/more misleading advertising out there. Sorry that you were disappointed. The advertisement got your attention though, so it did its job.

Not much has changed since alpha in the first place. There isn't much that needed to be changed in the first place. The little kinks and the difficulty makes this game much more unique... and I'd rather have unique than "Just another MMO".

Anyways... that's what I think. Obviously everything is opinion.

Funny you say that, a lot of the most popular "Facebook" or Mobile type games have ads like that. And those games have at least (a lot) of players.

What you advertise something as isn't what get people's attention, it's how much you advertise it and how much lewdness is showing.

I'm surprised some of those games are still up. I've seen them using Dawn of War, Diablo even Skyrim characters to advertise there game. The most surprising one though is Dragon Pals they are using World of Warcraft assets in there game yet Blizzard is yet to close them down. No idea how that got past Blizzard they are rather protective of there stuff.

Indeed the switching weapons can be improve by pressing on the number 1,2,3,4 basic and graphic settings will be a plus if added.
Other than that is up to the developer to implement other nice features instead of concentrating on cash-shop gambling.

I think we are pretty far off from getting a lot of the things we would like, even the JP version has the same graphic settings as us and its been around in OBT for a few months now

Well, this game won't live very long then... you can't really release a game in 2014 without graphic options, hotkey settings, interface customization, etc.

Ryxa wrote:Try pressing that "?" next to the button that closes windows. MAYBE it brings up these tooltip/help boxes you want.

You say this like there are tons of tooltips and help boxes all over the interface. There are like, 3 of those "?" tips.

Actually, wouldn't the testing phase be the best time to bring up an issue like this?

Generally any game that is a localized mmo from asia, the servers are almost always west coast, specifically located in California.

I'm not talking about just east to west coast latency. I'm not sure what's going on, but something is seriously messed up. The hit detection is unbelievably clunky and the monsters are very laggy.
