No. Bows have plenty of maga available. Trust me on that. Wand has ONE magatama available from side quests until Seki or Kaga+ and it's not even that great. Plus we sat there for the longest time trying to figure out what the heck was so wrong with my damage that even the MND build did 4x my DPS and we couldn't really.

Whut, the only maga I see that's even worth getting at early levels and isn't a pain in the ass to get are Kouya Maga's which add only 31% Bow Aff, I have three of those and my dmg is still pretty low, I BARELY got through Seki soloing, meanwhile Pow and Vit weps are hand fed skill force magas.

Chigaya, Rausu, Kouya, the two crit maga, Clear and Serene (+14 power +12 dex +4 Vit), multiple pierce element+ and a Mushiro are all available from side quests. Rausu, Kouya, various pierce element+ magatama, flat attack+, and a few dex + magatama are available from Kaguya.

Edit: Waxing Moon from side quests as well. Holy +17 and Dex +12.

For wand there's Lord Enma (With Vit pre-requisite), Agate (+3 wis nothing else), Sangi (AXE AFFINITY +37% +5 wis), Taika (+2 wis +17 fire +15 mountain), and Mushiro from side quests. Note that only Sangi, Taika, and Mushiro can be used out of all of those if you're under level 37. From Kaguya there's Harvest Night Magatama (which needs 3 miracle stones and level 44).

Trust me, bows have plenty of options compared to wand. If you don't limit yourself to just bow then you've got like 3x the maga as well. What does wand get if they use an alt. weapon? Oh wait. They don't have one.

I see wand being viable after reaching 90 wisdom, but on JP I only reached that amount after hitting level 46 or 47 and I'm not going to try to clear anything past Izumo when I only do 300-900 per fireball or I'm forced to use half a mana bar just to do 1.5k. It's just stupid scaling.

Its weird tbh, my pure mnd build (49+10)did more dps than his pure wis build, given with 1 200magatama, my chase blister IV was doing 300-400x3 for 80sp compared to his fireball and my base sp recover per tick was ~50

I just don't see how his mage was doing so bad compared to his JP mage

Well with all that said, have you guys figured out why are wands so weak? Low skill force, lack of decent matagama, low weapon damage, something else or a combination of multiple factors?

We're definitely doing something wrong with the way we build them, but just unsure what.

Well I did wands in CBT and am still doing wands. Soloed everything in Kyoto at lvl 22-23 during CBT (with Lots of dodging n kiting) so I would say they are somewhat viable, just not at strong as other stats based weapons. Pm me the details of ur build with items or just add me in game to chat it out. Some people say im doing decent or high dmg so I want to confirm a few things. At work n replying with my phone atm.
