I Messed up so Bad (Please Read!)

Postby Tamashiko » 04 Jul 2014, 10:38

So, I made an Onigiri account 1 day before it gave official service so I didn't know much about Onigiri. I made my character and I wanted to be a strong dual wield fighter but I messed up really bad. Instead of putting most of the points I got when I leveled up to my dexterity, I spread them out causing me to be weaker in battle. My brother also messed up in the same aspect.
Another thing is that, I was in a party to complete the Sakujimara Depths (I forgot how to spell it). So, I was level 13 and the other players were level 18-15. They blew through all of the opponents leaving me not having much work to do. Then, I got to the cut scene before I fought the boss and by the time the cut scene was over, the boss was already defeated. The same thing happened when I had to fight Momotarou. So because of that, I don't feel as if I deserve it.
So to the point, me and my brother were thinking about deleting our old characters and making new ones. What we want to do is name our new characters the same as our old ones but we are worried that some information of our old characters will still be stored within the game causing us to not be able to use the same name. For example, my character's name is Tamashiko and I want to name my new character Tamashiko after I delete the old one but I am worried that information about the old Tamashiko will be stored into the game making me not be able to use the name Tamashiko again for my new character. If I am safe to delete my old character and give the new one the same name, please reply!

Edit: Thanks for the quick replies guys! I usually don't expect to get replies that quick on other forums.

You get a stat reset potion after you beat Kyoto, if it makes you feel better

And if you delete a Character the name will be available immediately after to take again, I know, I've tried
Thanks Jung for helping us get the original link for the new wiki^^

In my experience, the first character or two is always a mess. Mine was, and I deleted it at level 10. I now have a healthy level 14 who's too OP for her own good, one shotting anything beneath her level, and 2 shotting anything 2 or 3 levels above..With spells, of course.

Either way, if you feel you must, a new character is an option. As long as you haven't progressed too far, it's not usually too much of a loss in your mind. You just have to make sure you don't get bored on your way back to your original level.
Group work? What's that?
