No. Defense is flat, and will do almost nothing towards damage that comes in large bursts as opposed to smaller ticks.
Selling all of my gear for ~40% of its market value!
~4 lv. 108 to 115 weapons remaining
Some skill card 7's, ougi, orna'd maga and other stuff too!

It's not really trolling. They're legitimate counterarguments to your points though you do make valid points.

1) I did it at lvl 37 so that really isn't an "issue" per say. Although I did die a number of times to beat it. (Some for information, some from confusion, etc. etc.)

2)partying will make it harder as the boss will have more hp (although there are things you can do as a party)

3) no counterargument so I won't bother

4) I can't really say anything for this one but yeah, it really doesn't matter if you try to stack the defense, unless you have 4 of the magatamas I doubt it'd stop the incoming damage of bosses to a point where it's truly worth sacrificing the magatama slot(s)/damage potential.

Bowman has a super long range skill called Charge Shot. It can hit about 18m or 20m ( i don`t remember clearly ).
U should test it out,

charge shot has good range...but isn't it take too long to cast? around 1-2 sec? since you are a glass cannon,using a charge shot when soloing is..probably not so good idea?

If you really think that I was trolling, you must be an idiot.

I was pointing out that what you were saying is, in all practicality, not going to help him. I didn't mention a counter-argument to the healer thing because I thought that it was quite pointless to, as its not only addressed in part two, but implied to be useless due to the nature of the boss, which is capable of OHK-ing you in the case that you do not constantly attempt to avoid hits.

The mechanics of the defense magatama also really does make it alot less useful than you think.

As far as I, and others who I know have experimented, know, defense is based on a flat rate per hit, implying that its good against things that spread their damage out across multiple hits. However, against bosses like Nyaruko, who do all of your HP in a single satellite cannon, its completely and utterly useless. The same mechanic applies to a healer, which assists you under the assumption that you don't get insta'd - or still reposed, as there's no way a healer can outheal Nyaruko's dps when you are still reposed between her and two of her tentacles.

tl;dr

The Space CQC is lacking in this one.

ah and i heard there's a trick about the party diff? like invite them after the dungeon after the dungeon start or something like that?
and besides why invest in def if you are basicly a ranged glass cannon? i would prefer increasing my attack(thru aff/skill force/stats)
oh does skill force only increase your skill damage?

Yes, but you don't have to be a dedicated healer to use invigorate. You can simply craft the +5 mind staff, and yeah. I also don't feel any buffs other than the speed doing much, but my input on this is invalided because I spec'd enough mind to cast it on myself 100% of the time.

This is technically an exploit.

Skill force is the better thing to have due to the way which affinity scales based on your stats

sooo skill force only works on skill and not normal combo? (well ussually i spam rapid shots so that's fine)
wait you can buff yourself? ...lemme guess ougi rapid storm?
and about the exploit thing..since the dev haven't done something it's fine it's fine~ *innocent face
