Well its me again, and yes I realize that many of my posts are long and tedious so I'll keep this one nice and short. Or at least short in comparison to my others... As I may or may not have said I truly believe that people should stick to their jobs; healers do the healing and the damage do their damage. This was something I thought was common sense but I've seen far too many healers attack while their damage buddies support whimsically. Although amusing to watch the chaos this is hardly efficient. Likewise I feel it is most efficient to go pure one stat or "class" until you've maxed the stat or the corresponding weapon's affinity. This should be done by about level 50 or 60 maybe a little higher depending on your build and THEN build a second stat.

I know that the "pure" builders and the "hybrid" builders like to debate for hours on end about which is better and the truth is both are right. Both have advantages and disadvantages, pure builds will ensure that you max the stat's corresponding weapon affinity sooner or at least boost its damage faster. The hybrid build allow for a more flexible "Jack-of-all-trades" play style AT THE COST OF MASTERY IN ANY WEAPON or at least not quickly. Personally, I prefer to be good in just one area (support) so the choice to go pure mind made a lot of sense because I wanted high staff affinity and damage more than I wanted to be good at a bow or other weapon I would rarely use. Once I maxed my affinity/mind I then would be free to spend some on another stat (wisdom for added magic cast speed and regen.) I advocate for people to focus one being good that their role in their party so whatever makes that happens will make me a happy healer.

I'm finally done... probably.... and if I'm rambling too much again or if you think I'm simply insane feel free to enlighten me I'll take any advice I can get. Unless it has to do with my spelling or grammar I really just don't care that much anymore after my english teacher beat it out of me. (Its a long story don't fret the small stuff.)

Not fair to the carry you say hermy or something?
So you gotta have mnd to get special treatment by the system you say?

Coz everyone needs mnd right?
How bout stop thinking of yourselves as victims
In the first place a carry doesn't need help
A carry helps you for his or her own reason
A carry is expected to be capable of doing a run alone

You want to differentiate through stats?
Just for supports? Cause you're so special right

Hey guys
I mean only the self entitled pricks out there
Choosing staff does not make you deserving of anything more than others :D

You have options
You ignore these options and its so so simple

You want the easy way but
How about take up a wand or spear

Theres your solution

An afterthought

Request better staff attack skills

Last I checked, even level 80+ people still get 2 shot by the mobs in Secluded Forest. Sure they can run it through by themselves but they'll be burning through potions and revivals to do so. Assuming they do run it themselves, they're not only going to be getting less EXP (because deaths are very possible when getting 2 shot is a reality) and they're also going to be running it slower. Idaten's grace means less time is spent traveling, invigorate and cures means not stopping to pot up thus faster runs happen.

That being said, I'm saying supports should not be treated the same as leechers. In fact, supports are generally worse off than leechers in almost all cases. Not only are you burning your own pots, you're using durability, missing out on the stray mobs (less exp), and you're also very liable to getting killed by stray mobs. The sight range means that there's a maximum range that supports can be at (unlike leechers who can never move a step and still be fine) so you're naturally close to the fight. Recall how I said even the carries tend to get 2 shot in SF? Yeah, supports tend to be a lower level than the carry (and far squishier because no vit) so we're prone to getting 1 shot. Now tell me how it's fair that the leechers get more exp, and be safer than the support while doing absolutely nothing.

Oh and easy way? Try soloing the content with staff skills. You're going to hate life when you try. Sure you CAN solo things but it'll take you the next hour and a half to do so. And btw, I do use a wand and I can tell you that it's far easier doing things with a wand than with a staff.

tl;dr: carries do their stuff, supports do theirs. No reason supports should have to shoot themselves in the foot for supporting, especially when leechers don't shoot themselves in the foot for leeching.

What if I told you that even without dying, leechers tend to get more EXP than the support? Even underleveled leechers tend to be able to be capable of killing the stray mobs or getting the killing blow on the boss, supports don't have the damage or the ability to (since they're usually kinda busy supporting). And as we know, killing blow gives a rather large exp difference so they get more EXP in the end.

And yet again, you somehow manage fail basic comprehension. I don't care about the carries because they're doing their job of killing things, supports are doing their job of supporting. But the fact that there's repercussions for supporting and none for leeching pisses me off. For what reason should the support have to shoot themselves in the foot to support while being treated the same as those who do nothing? Heck, why shouldn't the support sit around and do nothing either? Where in the world would you find such great suckers who shoot themselves in the foot for nothing to help others?

Good luck finding a party without leechers in the first place. And when was the last time you saw a staff user dealing as much damage as a spear/oodachi/twin blade/bow/wand user? Assuming you're not like 20 levels higher than them and have maxed out gear, chances are you're hitting for under half of what they're hitting. Good luck getting kills like that.

You are so right
It is absolutely impossible to find a party with "no leechers, support only"
Why couldn't I have known before?
Truly I offer you my sincerest apologies
Because there is no way to check if a support has the proper mnd

.. Hang on a second
Sanctuary, Heal, Cure, and buff duration times
Oh it turns out you CAN check for a proper support
Also you can even recruit a team of supporters or carries YOURSELF

This is just GAME CHANGING oh my god and therefore I take back my apology

dont really need support i know one player name is omgsomuchtrap and can do well w/o support in 4 mins. being vit and mind stat dont need invigorate dont need heal or pots. if you know how to dodge hp and sp regen will kick in.

we dont really need support that badly in this game may be some do but i think carries are perfectly fine w/o it.

the only the benefit i see of being support is just make you join party faster or easier but you are just another leecher in carries eyes.

Supporters are supporters
It's only people who take it for granted who think supporters are more or less leechers

Have you ever had mashed potatoes without mayo or tuna sandwiches without mayo
Uber difference

Yes.
Supporters are mayo.
They compliment the flavor

The quality of the mayo is important.
And the tuna.

or you can make do with what you have. this game not that hard as people make it seem to be..
