Hermit Crab Grotto
11944 XP in 11:32 (Normal); 19406 XP in 16:40 (Hell)
Massive improvement over the last time I tried this dungeon (as in, I cleared it). How on earth you would clear this fast enough to be worthwhile I don't know.

If you want I can show you in game, but my clear on solo hell that I just did again is 9:11 for 32482 base,or 97446 exp total pool + base exp

In comparison Gouriki's meeting point solo hell is 3:14 for 7436 exp base, or 22308 exp total pool + base

So the time I run hermit crab once, I can run Gouriki approximately 3 times for total of 67k exp, still doesn't match the 97k exp hermit crab gives

here's a vid on Estate and Hermit Crab Groto. most people grind estate because its fast usually 5-7 mins per run and near yoshi, hermit crab is good because of the stones drop by the end of the dungeon and less threatening mobs.

Echigo don't work too well for me on bow cause bow lack close range mobbing abilities and the rooms are rather small to maneuver

Well if you really need to just tab target and shoot them behind the walls because, well, I personally wouldn't want to be in that room either if I couldn't aoe as well. Wall=TrueBestFriendEstate2014
(mind you I sometimes do this even as a spear when I need to, minus the tab target since I'm just spamming my wds through the walls instead)
I would just beware of the ice witches shooting through the wall as well so stay your distance a bit if you decide to do this.

Cept bow is not spear. Spears aoe depends on the skills overreach so it works through wall. Bow depends on targets contact with launched projectiles, and the wall blocks all non target projectiles including rainbow peacock, lightning shot, ougi cannon etc. The only useful aoe bows have across wall is icicle storm but guess what it and meteor shot get blocked by the low ceiling so across wall don't work for bow

Ah, my apologies then. During the short periods of time I've used the bow, I've only ever shot through the wall with targeted skills/auto-attack and thus have incorrectly assumed that any reasonable aoe-quality skills which don't rely on the targeting system would work as well.

Although I suppose taking targets down one by one with this method (targeted skills rs/rps, exorcist, cursed, etc.) is a valid option, it's not that reasonable for a good clear time or for satisfyingly(?) watching multiple foes fall all at once.

@Old Snake
I don't mean to take away from your intentions or the effort you put into your videos, but I think the experience of a lvl 90 sword user with 9000 hp is a little different than that of a bow user 20 levels lower with ~3000 hp. I can't just run in, tank 6000 damage, and aoe everything down in 1-2 hits like you do in the videos.

@Rebecca
I agree that Echigo Estate is rough on bow users, my current unpreparedness notwithstanding. The enemy selection and small rooms make things rough. I'm curious as to how you deal with the blue penanggalans in Hermit Crab Grotto. My experience is that I can avoid their ice spell if I'm constantly moving, but the instant I stop to fire even one ability I die. Even if I just barely get clipped, it stops me long enough that I just get hit again and again and die. So I have to take them all one by one, greatly slowing down the run. Nothing else in the dungeon is difficult, just annoying with the Mukade burrowing in various directions.

@SeekerFate
Rebecca is correct in that bow aoe doesn't really work through walls. Single target is possible, but slow as hell. As I seen you've acknowledged as I type this.

Gather them, walk in a straight line to put some distance, turn around and unload 4 lightning flash shots, done

What Rebecca said but if u still can't do it what I recommend is for you to grab a speed title or grab someone who can use idaten or rapid storm. It makes killing the seahorses a whole lot easier. And the tactic of lure then 4 lightning shot works wonderfully. When I use it I normally kill them all unless they stray a little in which case I finish them off with a a diff bow.

if you mastered you're weapon(range/cast speed etc) well and know the monster behavior patern you can easily avoid contact specially you're an archer use you're range advantage they don't hit you anyway when you get near them usually take 2-3 seconds reaction time before they do, use that advantage. I carried myself there from 80 only thing you get to 90 are extra stats and hp which I mainly add on my dex and mind lol.

PS: even with 9k hp I get 1 hit too if they land crits most mobs only do 1-2k damage per attack and skills are easily avoidable if you know the pattern well. the ghost lady takes 6-9 sec before they release a new breath attack just single line them so they are just releasing it on 1 area range of breath is not that long also.
