yeah... pvp just won't work out. XD It's most mmos problems, player side we got skills that hit just because we looked at them when we used it. We got insta hitting skills, low hp but stupid high damage. and like you said with the ougis... x.x; ouch to the twin swords one. so yeah doing anything defensive in pvp is completely useless.
And if you think about it, the guy with all them swords justifys why pvp would fail. While players who dealt with him or can tank him are often fine, because he is the closest thing to a player, not a slow boss, not a mob to just sit there, he just completely destroys newcomers or those not paying attention. But on the other side, a pro or someone who knows him can completely destroy him even with his enhanced hp.
so yeah i don't know what cyberstep will do, but all i see is pvp bringing rage and being half a second to three seconds long. If they lower the damage it's just gonna be boring because dodging is useless, blocking is meh so it will be most likely people just hitting each other and spamming powerful skills to make it go by quicker. (assuming ougi's get disabled) And like every other mmo people start listing what skills can't be used making it even more dull.
my best thing that i can say about adding pvp, is if it's gonna be arena based, they should add respawning mobs to distract players as they fight each other or putting hazards in there. One would want to think to win a pvp which will draw out the most fun, not go in with just all they gotta do is land this one skill with their certain powerful equips and it's over. they cyberstep will also have to make sure the challagers be balaced so it never ends up a lv50 verus a lv20 or something with an unfair advantage.
