Chief Daruma onwards I can handle just fine (I think I've always one-shot Ahriman), it's just Beelzebub who is a pain. Like I said a while back now; If I can get a decent Amanokako Bow, then Beelzebub should be pretty easy to deal with too. In theory.

I've been wondering this for a bit, but..

...

Golden Eye?

(from Golden Weapon Hunt Youen)

or is this one of your lower level chars? Kyoto should be fine with just a Failnaught and aff mags (and maybe clear & serene), though. At least, that was all I needed up until Kaga.

Btw, I think the difference in Ryou is from out-levelling the area. Higher level areas give more ryou so you should've been able to get a decent amount from just levelling in a full pt/hell mode until it was possible to grind Yakumo Temple. Not that this is really necessary anymore with the improved exp rates and fever. I remember that the ryou jumps in seki so it may be worth progressing the story, even on a lower mode.

I'll look into getting Golden Eye from that, but historically I've not had a lot of luck with Warding dungeons. I *would* use a Failnaught if it wasn't dog ugly (sorry, that's just the way I am). My main's in Seki at the moment, so hopefully I'll make decent money there, I just think it'd be nice if I could have a Chiami mag as well before I get too deep into the shit.

It's possible to go as wand/staff user actually.

Pros:
+ You can actually be useful to your party before like 100 lvl. And if building right - even after that, at some deegree.
+ Solo game is not that hard. You always can just attack with staves if you're low on sp. With Wis's SP Reduction staff skills cost nothing. Pure wand users pretty much can't do anything, if they ran out of sp, besides running and drinking potions. You can still attack, regaining some sp. And naturally you will have 100+ MND, that gives you awesome SP regeneration. And don't forget about Meditation.
+ You can leech. From my expirience people still want staff user in party. So you're always welcome.
+ It's possible to go without Chiami. Extented heal do the job.
+ Viability. Depending on party you can always switch to DPS mags or Support mags. Usual 4x Magic setup still allows you to save the day if things go bad though.
+ It's fun to play.

Cons:
- You need a LOT of OC. And farming. And patience. At high levels attaining even 4 good swords is pain in ass for example. With this build you need around 8 weps: 4 staves and 4 wands. Going with 2 wands/2staves is an option, but you lose viability. Same goes for mags. And Ressurection ofc.
- You'll never be as good as pure wand or pure staff probably. Reason is stats. Pure wand will go full WIS/DEX, rest in MND. And pure staff will go MND/DEX rest in WIS. We are going WIS/MND rest DEX here.
- 4x Magic mag. Getting 4 with right ornamentations is hard as hell.
- Low surviveability. You're still glass canon/healer.
- Hard to pull until 90~. Best way would be to still choose one single wep until then.
- Taishi title is must have. And it's always full - 55/55.

Going hybrid is always hardcore in this game. But fun. 8-)

One thing you probably need to edit is that Healing at lvl 105+ is no longer needed since either:

1. They have Chiami mag.
2. They have the recent 105 mag, which requires them to have a rather low health to pull off maximum damage.

And Gargoyle weapons require even LOWER for maximum.

You won't have enough chakra to use 4 magic magatama until you're well above 100 anyways, unless you don't orna...

You also blatantly put leeching as a pro...
Selling all of my gear for ~40% of its market value!
~4 lv. 108 to 115 weapons remaining
Some skill card 7's, ougi, orna'd maga and other stuff too!

I mean, the part where Chiami isn't needed is pretty much correct, though it increases your death rate by 70% (Maybe Higher) if you don't have good internet or good guarding skills.

Oh and Ougi skills too. And Resurrection.

Beat me to it. If you play this game to leech: GTFO. If playing solo is really so easy, then there's no need to be an Exp parasite.
