So... the exp has been doubled! thats cool and stuff (and was absolutly neccesary) but... we full supporters still get about half the exp in dungeons.

Been Doing Byakkou Cavern Hell Mode. My Friend gets a pool exp around 1.8k and i only get 1k. thats absolutly not fair since i, as full support buff him up, heal him and recovering his SP all the time.

I actually like having a healer in a group for any RPG.
Means I spend less time healing myself/spending money on potions and more time fighting.

Guess I enjoy a well rounded group over a bunch of dps

Mages should be weak in this game anyway imo, I remember in alpha bows/magic was really op.
its mostly because the mobs are like 90% melee auto attacks with ranged spells so you just sit back and spam them to death.

But either way the games easy so idky they bother to nerf anything
Just because its weaker doesn't mean its going to stop someone who likes doing it.
If anything it only upsets the people who actually enjoy using/doing it.
Balance teams in almost every game are just morons for the most part imo.

I love to play a supporter role, thats why i went on full MND to be able to heal my comrades in arms. which also works fine unless they are 1-shot by several monsters. But there are several huge downside to this play style.

1. exp while in party: Noticed this with a friend. Hes lvl 14 dual sword and i run behind him to use heal I and Strike Boost III (he dealt once 4064 crit with this boost lol). i am myself a lvl 14 staff user. But at the end of a dungeon i get about half of the pool-exp then he does. The reason was discovered quickly: I only get 1/2 of the exp if i dont help (attack) to kill the monsters. this is really BS imo.

2. i cant buff myself with various buffs available on staffs (atleast sofar)

3. the difference of the heal force of different ranked skills doesnt match the SP consumption at all. Example: i have the skill "Energy Ball II" (61 SP) and "Energy Ball III" (91 SP). I heal about 245 + 2 over time with rank 2 and 275 + 5 over time with rank 3. This doesnt sum up. i have to pay 50% more SP for just a little bit more heal. This also works well with the normal "Heal" skill. from rank 1 to rank 2 the SP costs are almost doubled with a not really too great difference in heal. Thats why i prefer using lvl 1 heal skills since i would almost instantly run out of SP while team playing.

4. droprate of staffs: this might be only me, the game hates me or MND focused players in general. I rarely get any Staffs at all. i keep finding tons of silver, gold and even red equipments. especially wands, dual swords and spears. i had to play until lvl 9 with a lvl 1 staff when i first found a higher staff (lvl 10 white). This continues even until now. im now lvl 15 and only found 2 times a lvl 13 gold wand (which i lost due to a bug at lvl 12 -_-). the next staff i found is the silver lvl 21 staff... this really bugs me.

anyone can share this above mentioned issues? or is it just me?

Hey there,

1. First of all, it's not how much damage you do. I've noticed the same EXP disparity with my partner and it's not based on how much damage you do but last hitting. If you're using staff, the likelihood of getting the last hit versus a consistent DPS is very low. What I do is just last hit tougher monsters/bosses (to my partner's frustration) with Fireball 2 on my wand.

2. As far as I know, there isn't a buffing spell other than the shield one (that I've never tested on myself) so I'm assuming you're talking about the heal. In that case, First Aid is your self-heal. Also, Sanctuary is an AoE heal that will heal you. Healing is, too- but I don't remember if you get the heal as well.

3. And you're right about the different levels in heals. I have a staff with Cure 2 that costs ~71 mana in a ~280 and a long ass CD. It's good for clutch situations since I heal 700 per, but I have a secondary staff with Heal 1 which is so much more practical. Honestly, if I only have to use Heal 1, I don't ever run out of mana so I'm not sure why you are. I only run out of mana if I switch to wand to use burst/damage spells or switch to my primary staff to use Invigorate 2 on my partner consistently.

4. Are you leveling your relationship with Shizuka? I have not once encountered this problem so it might just be poor luck haha. The only problem with item drops is the game progression. You progress too fast without gaining levels so you end up being behind on items. I just did a run that gave me a level 39 drop, YEAH OKAY ONIGIRI. But yeah, I feel ya.

Sorry that I don't have specific numbers, my game isn't open atm.

1. i know by now aswell that its all about who hits the enemy last. which is, no matter how you look at it, totally retarted in team play.

2. i was talking about Buffs, not Heals. Havnt found a single buff which also affects me sofar. Selfheal are various spells, like First Aid, Sanctuary, Healing and Engery Ball (which i use mainly)

3. I didnt say that i run out of SP when i use heal 1. i said i would run out of SP otherwise. Since in a party of 5 Players everyone needs heals at some point. i also have to use sometimes a selfheal + buffs on my "main target" (highest DPS player) + the SP recovery skill. This in combination with Heal 2 and a 5 player party gets me to a perm empty SP bar sooner or later.

4. ALL my comrades are all the time as high as they can. i have talked to quite a few players that say, that there is always 1 or 2 types of weapons that they rarely get. in my case thats decent staffs. im lvl 21 now and i found sofar 3 lvl 25 red staffs. on the other hand, i already found 10+ balmungs, 20+ red wands, 10+ red spears and so on. so the statistic speaks for themselfs. (note: all mentioned weapons where lvl 20+)

certain places drop certain weps. if your farming the same thing over and over adn there isnt a staff in the gold drop list... you wont ever get a staff.

sanctuary is shit. energy ball isnt. use energy ball instead, as a pre emptive heal so people can run to it if they need it. sanctuary is just bad atm, and it really should be buffed.... its only purpose right now is after a boss or big group and the party is all at half hp.. you can hug.

you should be 30-40+n your staffs, and hitting things with auto attack... and using any availible light/dark spell you have to attack.

healing isnt your first priority unless your like me when i was lvl 10 and healing other lvl 10s in a lv 25 dungeon where it is actually needed. heal when its really needed... most people are compitant enough to stop mindlessly clicking and heal htemselves a bit with tunas.

most of the time you only need to pop a heal lv 1 spell. you shouldnt be focusing on getting heal2-4+ stuff until later in the game where peopels hp pools are massively different than the 300-500 they are right now early on like this.

hope this helps.

i must disagree in several parts of what you just wrote.

so far i have tried to farm every dungeon at least 5 times in a row. the result is that, no matter where i am, i get the same weapons. It only depends on the lvl range of the dungeon you are farming in which weapon lvls you find.

I wrote that im using Energy Ball mainly to heal myself.

i dont quite understand where this is related to the topic. Or rather... what you mean by "hitting things with auto attack"

as a "Supporter" it IS my first priority to heal my teammates. My friend is now lvl 22 and has almost 1200 HP. If i would heal him with a heal 1, then he would probably laugh at me since it wouldnt even be 20% of his HP. As far as i can tell, we are alot quicker to clear a dungeon if i keep my mates alive with healing, buffs and SP recovery then when i would mainly ignore it and attack with my spells aswell.

the only thing that i can agree on is, that Sanctuary is indeed useless since its area is waaaay too short. but the AoE Heal "Healing" isnt better either. it has an insane range, thats for sure. but Healing 4 costs 130 SP ( a bit less then half of my max SP) and only heals up to 61... this really a joke

Auto attack is it left click attack

Energy bal isn't to heal urself it's to place a heal to be taken by someone else during a fight

Heal isn't the big single target heal cure is heal is a top off heal to cap someone off at full hp when they take a hit at full hp

The aoe spell is good for whenmultiple people have taken a hit or two to buffer their hp to heal them with the appropriate spell

First aid is the way u heal itself with

With everything uve typed it's amazing to me if ur lv twenty

U obviously need to reconsider ur play style IMO

Aside from healing u can debuff and dmg especially mobs weak to dark and light which is ur main element dmg types

Not tryin to be mean
Hope this helps

First Aid is useless. It doesnt even heal 200 on rank 2. rank 2 engery ball 370 + over time. this is ALOT better for healings.

If you think that Energy Ball is only for others, then you might reconsider your play style or rather use of this skill yourself :) best emergency heal skill there is. only cast it and instantly dodge in its direction - save!

i obviously know that auto attack is executed with the left mouse. it still didnt make sense what you ment with it.

i also never said that heal would be the strongest heal that there is, did i? its merely the heal skill that i do use most of the time

this AoE spell is only a waste of time imo since it doesnt heal enough to puffer anything. 60 HP heal? wow, enemies are smirking about this one ^^

I also never said that i do never attack. You maybe should read the stuff more carefully. i know that there are various enemies that are weak against holy and that i could debuff them.

and GZ for reaching lvl 38 in alpha... oh wait... the exp rates where higher in alpha as much as i heard *cough*

Maybe this "lvl 38 alpha tester" has low health enough to feed itself with that <200 Aid lol,

And seriously Lylah, why ask people to change their play style?

Is your play style so good? You put that Energy Ball on floor and what if your dying? you don't take? hahaha
If you think your "Aid" is so useful, there is delay when using it, what if you die during the delay??
Basically Energy Ball can be taken by anyone, so you got no right to say the user can't take it.

C'mon look at your own mistake first before saying others.
