1) -- Balance out Power-Type weapons, don't even see Dex or Wis weapon skills comparing damage wise, and they are equally oriented on damage. Vit and Mind weapons are understandable, because those weapons' entire purpose is to support the group in some way, but 250~500 damage w/ Oodachi/Axe/Sword skills off the lv5~10 weapons at a low SP cost are exactly why people think dungeons are too easy.

2) -- Exp could be boosted to 1/3~1/2 rather than the current when compared to the JP server exp, totally understandable why nobody wants the full 10x, because that would end the game pretty quick @ 3~4 hours a day minimum playtime.

3) -- Dungeon weapon levels, scale them back a bit. Clearing a level 11 dungeon is giving me level 16~20 weapons, while clearing a level 4~7 dungeon is not giving me level 1~5 weapons, but instead 9~13 weapons.

Actually it is the norm in most games (Monster Hunter, Dark Souls, etc), the only times I haven't seen iframes are in God Eater Burst and even Warframe. However, Onigiri's system says that block is better 9/10 times, save for the occasional unblockable. However I have the sinking suspicion that it may not only have to do with the lack of iframes but also whacky hitboxes. Being stuck in the 10s due to lacking time to play religiously, some monsters have no real collision box (Daruma Chief) and some creatures will teleport due to hitting either "out of bounds" zones or seemly at random. The other might be the lag-spikes in the engine. When fighting the Daruma Chief, when he throws all the little exploding Darumas, my system starts to chug super hard with massive stutters and the ant people when burrowing underground cause graphical lag as well. I'm running on my Laptop (i7 Processor + Geforce 750M) and somehow I don't like this should be happening since it's preventing me from doing any defensive move other than block.

The whole making people want to flee thing is that if the guys overseas gain an advantage due to just being farther away from the servers if such an advantage to compensate lag were available, some users feel cheaped out because everyone else it treated with kid-gloves on. When I played the Closed Beta of Microvolts on my previously bad connection, I would absorb hits due to the sole merit of bad internet (And servers were located in EU despite being an NA game at the time) and have been kicked from many rooms because of the "lag-shield" the game gave me. However this is only if the iframes were done poorly, I mean heavily skewed kind of poorly. If iframes = lag-shield then someone in design has failed horribly. However a robust system costs alot of money, so rather than cutting corners they just said no to iframes.

Other than that. Blarg :/

tl;dr
iFrames don't matter if the game's underlying system is preventing split second decisions. IE Lag.
iFrames don't work if designed as a lag-shield. Designers are to blame.

Skimpy chars is one thing... asking for an outright nude-mod is another. Especially with something like the Battle Princess set, which doesn't even cover the underwear at all, and the fact that clothes don't affect your stats to begin with.

All I'm saying is maybe some underwear like what she has there and/or like this or this.

I actually keep my distance at all times with a bow, so In practice I'm rarely hit. I get a harder time against certain speedo bosses like Tiamat and 'bel bel', who keep spamming their skills, so I can't change attacking them. It's like you actually have to block their attacks to get effective attack windows. Otherwise you keep running. Of course, this added on top of any possible lag.

Now, what i would like to see in this game...

70%/JP rate should be the correct ammount to balance the game for overseas.
Account-Wide storage please!
Account-Wide storage
And
Account-Wide storage!

I kept getting odachis and swords! I even got a good staff eventually! But I have absolute no use for them!

PD: it seems the shortened tutorial stance is related to the nerfed magic damage.

qqchurch wrote:Huh, that's interesting to know. Never noticed it since I usually circle around mobs to avoid getting hit and dodge only to get out of the line of fire; it's usually when I'm up close and casting to them that I take hits. It's a bit hard to get into the habit of blocking when it pretty much knocks out half my HP or pretty much all of it with the level disparity, though I guess it'd be easier if the OBT or full release exp rates would make that gap lower.

Get some VIT man. At level 26 with 49 VIT, I'm able to tank hellmode Kishinden's final boss' breath for 25 damage per hit without guarding (1 damage per hit with). That should open up options.

In short, if you give options that can be abused with more lag, it discourages people without lag from playing. Case in point, if you have more lag on CBEN, you ignore entry/exit lag of your moves moreso. It also contributes to obfuscation of your position, so light lag prevents you from being sniped by Linear Cannons on single shot, whereas full-indo lets you warp around the map invulnerable to anything yet lets you hunt anything you want, until you start fixing your position with melee attacks.

B-but, I can kill him with 1 shot of my bow. D: (I just did, idk if 7.9k crit is overkill or not though)

I'm currently running with a POW/DEX build with a Bow/Sword/Odachi/(whatever-i-feel-like-bringing or that sword I have with that 100% crit buff), so my HP is naturally low, unless I grab that magatama with +400 HP and 15% attack (that +500 HP -80% EXP gain one is pretty much for masochists or late game chars only). Though, I'm toying with the idea of running a POW/VIT and a DEX/VIT char for OBT (and a WIS/MND, too); might make life easier when grinding and gearing.

Ah, I get it now. I've never played Cosmic Break, though I can probably liken it to Tribes or Legions: Overdrive, both are very latency dependent where every 100ms ping makes life harder for both you and your opponent; they don't have dodge mechanisms, but I can see the point of adding iframes on movement + lag = bad. A probably clearer example for me is Dragon Nest's PvP, you get weird stuff happening sometimes when its laggy: hitstates resetting (opponent suddenly casting a skill midair after you launch them), your skill getting cancelled on your end but still hits and breaks the superarmor of your opponent, iframes not registering, etc.

Eh, after playing for the last 8 hours, I could say that adding an iframe to dodge doesn't feel necessary anymore..... though making jump useful still sounds viable to me (at least lower some of the fences in Kyoto so I could get down faster :c)

I would like to see something that emphasizes the concepts of each creature in Japanese mythology more and implements those ideas into interaction and the gameplay.

I would also like to see more skills and actions based on the idea that the player character is an oni. It would be interesting if the player could fight without weapons(though weapons would probably allow more strength) and if the player could learn a few oni-based skills unattached to weapons, such as temporarily imbuing attacks with a character-specific element, summoning a giant club, temporarily increasing the size of weapons, using a basic form of oni magic, or focusing into an altered state that alters appearance and increases strength(along with other stats).
