Im creating this topic to ask other players about how often they would suffer critical strikes from enemies and to figure out exactly what determines the crit rate of an enemy. To start with the reason im doing this is because I would suffer A LOT of critical attacks. Id say a rough estimate of how many crits I suffer is about 1 out of every 5 enemy attacks, no matter what enemy it is, crits against me. Maybe im just really unlucky but that seems abnormally high to me and the fact that its like that for ALL enemies also seems kind of strange. I have 2 theories as to why its so high that I need help to try and confirm.
1st theory is that a defensive stat like Vit plays a role in reducing enemies crit rate against you. This seems quite believable as I was a Dex/Wis player and only put 2 or 3 points into Vit so if this DOES determine enemy crit rates it makes sense that I would suffer a lot of crits.
Now my 2nd theory is actually what I believe to be a bug/glitch. For this theory I believe that the crit rate of an enemy somehow matches the crit rate of the player that they hit. As I said before I was a Dex/Wis player so naturally I had a high crit rate compared to other "classes" and if enemies were somehow matching MY crit rate that would also explain why I suffered crits as often as I did. Honestly im more inclined to believe this theory because enemies would crit against me about as often as I hit crits and because of how all enemies seem to have the same crit rate.
So please post about how often you would have an enemy crit you and what stats you focused on so we can hopefully get an idea of what determines the enemies crit rate. It would be best if someone who put a lot of points into both Vit and Dex posted since that would make it pretty clear which theory is correct, or at least close to correct, but this should hopefully end up being enough to at least hint towards what the answer is.
